DJ Hero intro video destroys the world with beats

That's what I was thinking. This is why I can't stand this game: they take a bunch of genres and blend them all into one annoying genre.

Trademark suggests a classic Bemani music game Pop'n up in North America

Right. But what he said was right too. He wasn't implying that Konami made GH.

Perhaps the lousy reception for Konami's lousy attempt, Beat'n Groovy, won't dissuade them from making a real Pop'n?

Casually Speaking: Depth Perception

No, I agree, your definition of deep is really weird. The best I can describe it, according to your article, is that deep is when you've done something for long enough to understand the nuances of it, like getting better at Bejeweled and getting more combos because you understand how the game works.
But then, how can you say Starcraft doesn't have that? There are people who've done hundreds of Zerg rushes and gotten better at them, seen the nuances of the strategy. You know, you could think of your army as a shovel, and the opponents' armies as dirt... (See? The analogy doesn't really prove anything. And the point about Zuma being deep was just a pun.)
