I bought my 160GB SATA drive for my PS3 for HALF that price. And the cool thing was I could CHOOSE that AND buy it two days after the machine launced here in Europe. So much for Microsoft and thier "choice" system.

As for MGS4, its coming to the PS3 only, deal with it. YES THATS RIGHT YOU HAVE TO BUY A PS3 FOR 600 BIG ONES *JUST* TO PLAY MSG4.. 600 FOR ONE GAME? NO WAY.... of course ignoring all the other good reasons to own a PS3, why do people compare ONE thing at a time to justify 600 notes? Come to Denmark and try swallowing the fact that we pay $970 USD for it.

I have found the Euro launch to be very good for me. There was a nice selection of games, I thought. I would like to be able to download PS1 games pretty soon, but right now im too busy playing Motorstorm and GT HD 2.0 to even think about wanting to play old PS1 games. I think they have a good amount up there for us new to the system.

Why flood the market with loads of games? its business pratice to release steadily to maximise sales. I'm quite looking forward to flOw next week on PSN. I'd like to see Vib Ribbon come here, and be playable on the PS3 sometime (Hopefully next update?) As my original doesn't work on the Euro machine (Or will it soon?).

If Sony don't release any PS1 games on PSN for like MONTHS then I would be complaining, but as it is I think the launch games Disc and PSN are enough.

I do agree that the PS1 games they are releasing states side are a little odd, choice wise, that needs addressing for sure.

I'm a bit peshed that Rez and Vib Ribbon don't work on the PS3, Those games often come out when the booze and weed are flowing around friends. But to be honest i've been having too much fun with the PS3 specific stuff to be toooo bothered right now. I've not even transferred my Memory cards over yet. So these guys had to be super nuts about their football.. I wonder, don't they have a spare PS2 lying around? Seems a bit extreme.. Propaganda anyone?

BTW, i'm "European" but don't give a rats ass for football. Its not the be all and end all for everyone here. If GoW didn't work out the gate THAT would be a BIGGER problem, and more comparable to Halo. This is like saying Madden '07 doesnt work for you American folks.

Do Wii owners care? if they do then they need to think about buying a PS3 or an Xbox 360 if screen imagery bothers them.

The Wii isn't meant to be portrayed like this, its ridiculous. I mean really, so what if it can do 480p? So can the PS2, so can the Xbox, so can the GC, even a crappy $50 DVD player can. Its nothing special and just highlights the fact that Wii is underpowered. Is that the point of the article? If so.. dumbness.

And folks saying there isn't much difference between 480p to 720p and even 1080p... HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!! I get it now, thats why Nintendo never bothered with hi Def! HAHAHAHAAAA!! The Wii is doing well for itself but don't go kidding yourselves, it certainly DOES have alot of shortcomings which will gradually creep up on it once the hype settles.

I must admit it looks nice, and if it runs quiet its tempting. But I just spent a shit load on my PS3 so maybe nearer christmas. I would like my Xbox 360 back sometime in the future. Its a bit of a hike on that drive though. I just upgraded my PS3 to 160 Gig with a click of a finger for half the price MS are getting for that 120Gigger.

I hope its not goign to be a trent though... how long before they release a 4th SKU with HD-DVD drive.... or even dare I say Blu-Ray!

I think the more time goes on, the more folks will realise why Sony did what they did with PS3... Future Proofing.

The machine launched here with 20 odd games for christ sake! Resistance, Motorstorm and VF5 being VERY GOOD GAMES!!!, ok some are shite, but at least some are GOOD! Where are all the good Wii games? If anything right now Wii has LESS good games!

When the sales keep on strong and steady, the Wii will still be outselling it so its a failure (Even though the Xbox 360 is doing SHIT in Japan ...STILL).

The problem is too many people have already mouthed Sonys doom and will stick by it because they don't want to loose face. So that means Sony probably WILL fail no matter what. Thats a shame.

This is great news! I love the old Time Crisis Series. Sega MUST bring Virtua Cop to PS3 as well(make a complete new version). I think they must have to use the six axis sensing tech to control the cursor. HDTV's wont work in the old fashioned way. maybe its going to be a case of This wont work on CRT, rather than this wont work on HDTV.

My Xbox 360 was a 25th Nov 2005 unit. I hadn't used it much over the year (only to play Geo Wars now and then). But when GOW came out I was playing like madness. The system very quickly started freezing up ALOT! I sold it a month ago with all accs (to EB Games). and put the money towards my fine PS3. I wont rule out the Xbox 360 though, If the newer model coming soon is a quiet beast I might be tempted to plump for it again. But really, Microsoft need to sort this problem out quick. People are jumping ship, some for good.
