The problem with with that is that gold is going to be massively inflated as well, so it's probably best to actually try and buy stuff that'll be in short supply once TBC hits, so your investment keeps some value. Bars (rather than ores (for stacking reasons)) should be a decent investment with everyone trying to level up new chars (and thus new skills) and Jewel Crafting needing a lot of ores.

The other day on my server (ED EU) some clever bugger pulled one of the badland elites back to SW, and you need the weapon from the quest to kill it. Once everyone from the server had skilled up every weapon skill, people dragged it to the kings room and left it there
It's clearly the greatest satire ever. After all the whinging about GTA/Manhunt, it's a stark reference to Pong, a time when computer games were simple and unthreatening. Lets see if JT has anything to say about this.
