Are you a mid-core gamer?

I'm 25 and I guess I could probably be considered a mid-core gamer. I always preferred to label myself as "casually hard-core," though...

Nope, not embarrassed at all. There are "fanboy" sites for the Wii, DS, PSP, and PS3, too.

And I'm still using the same XBox 360 that I got way back in early-December 2005.

@17: "But as time has gone on.....and became more technically oriented....my tastes have leaned to PCs"

@20: "I couldn't ever use a mac - i'm far to technically minded to have my hands tied by one."

??? Strange... As I become more technically inclined I lean more and more towards Macs. I bought my first Mac (an awesome black Core Duo MacBook) shortly after I began working on my Master's degree in Computer Science, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I'll be chucking the last Windows PC later this year and replacing it with an iMac, as well.

As a software engineer, I prefer an OS that does its job and stays out of my way so I can focus on more important things. What things are you trying to do with a PC that you can't do with a Mac, other than run games and/or Visual Studio? Actually, Visual Studio is the only thing worth keeping Windows around for, but XCode suits me just fine...
