When you said eeeeeeeeyeeeeeessssss earlier...was that the Steve McCooney Little Britain yes?

NY Times gives Game of the Year honors to GTA IV

I sincerely hope that for the next iteration of Grand Theft Auto, the developers take the game back to where it started: Merry old England. I think the "American Experience" schtick has worn out it's welcome, and it's time we explore some different cultural stereotypes. The GTA series has already hit just about every major city in the US that has a unique, globally-recognized identity. (LA, NY twice, Vegas, SanFran, Miami)

So, I vote for the next GTA taking place in London, or making it a globe-hopping enterprise with a few worldwide locales.

Chew on these successful XBLA stats and figures

I see Braid as a fine wine of a videogame. Some people will just think "ugh, some kind of tart fruity little thing. Thank god it's over," and some people will savor every little bit of it and take it as an all-encompassing experience. I'm one of the latter, but it's perfectly fine if you're one of the former. It's a game that means different things to different people, and I think that maybe that was also part of the designer's intent.

Bask in this new screenshot from Halo 3's Orbital map

I wish Bungie would take a page from Halo 1 and the Unreal series and go wild with some really creative designs. They showed some sparks of originality in Halo 1, but I think their focus on making maps flow and look decent homogenizes them all. Go nuts with a couple okay? What could it hurt?

Splatterhouse focuses on gore for 'a very messy good time'

@Fenix:

Thanks for the detailed reply, man. I went ahead and Ebay'ed the 60g PS3 healthy amount (sucker sold fast) so I'm heading out to get an Xbox 360 Pro later today.

Now I just have to decide which games to get. This is going to be tough!

Thanks again! (btw, barring any problems, my XBL gamertag should be "turkeybaster" as well)

This should come out pretty well since it's being developed by the guys who made the Mark of Kri games on PS2. Those were some underrapreciated gems.

Exclamation point: LittleBigMetalGear costume and level pack details

Forget LittleBigPlanet as just a game. For the next Playstation (or heck, maybe for the PS3), I want to see LittleBigPlanet as the entire interface.

@ Burgabunz:

Thanks...I think.

Xbox 360 leads PS3 in Europe by 1 million units

Dec 16th 2008 8:17PM (Joystiq Xbox)
From what I've tooled around with, the NXE is fantastic. The only thing that has kind of made me wary of the 360, is that I just don't know what big games are coming up in 2009. I've been following Sony's camp more, so do you know any exclusives coming in 2009 (honest question, not trolling)?

There are plenty of current and older 360 exclusives I'd get, but I have no clue what's on the horizon for the system.

As a PS3-only owner I agree with you. I'm seriously considering selling my PS3 for a pro 360 and a slim PS2. The NXE and the networking functions are so more integrated and so far beyond anything that Sony has yet to do its almost sad.
