Sopranos 360 gets whacked

Jul 28th 2006 3:10PM (Joystiq Xbox)
The graphics on this game for 360 looked horrible anyway. We're not missing anything.

First trailer of Valve's Portal released

Did anyone else think the graphics in this game were really really polished? I mean, a simple thing like blurring the weapon hasn't been used in a game, and it makes sense if you think about it... it's right in front of your face. Of course the lighting is top notch. But textures are perfect, everything that is supposed to look plastic-y does. I think this title looks promising.

That doesn't always work dude, that's why this was created.

I could've used this about a week ago. I bought the Datel adapter instead. It's working well though, and I got a wireless access point for 80 bucks... oh well.

I actually love Yo Noid! but I think it may just be a sentimental thing, as I don't think I ever got past the 4th level or something.

Paradise by the dashboard light

I'm wondering why the XBL team even mentioned it coming out this week when Major Nelson doesn't even have a date for it. Just keep your mouths shut next time so people don't get their hopes up. Everytime they say they're going to release anything it's late... which is okay, but just don't tell us a week before and then wonder why people get antsy.

First impression: Moto GP '06

I thought this demo was decently fun, but had some small issues. There was signifiant lag on some games that I experienced (I guess a little too common these days). Also, the gauges on the bikes when in first person mode had PS1 textures on them... c'mon guys, this is next gen??

Other than that a good play. The single player felt nice, the independent braking scheme feels pretty good (although I can't say I've been on a Kawasaki before). All in all this game has potential if they would polish the small things a little bit... but that's not likely as the game's release is pretty near.

A look at EA's new realism tools

That foot planting issue in Oblivion pissed me off. How do you spend 4 years developing a game and not think of that??? It can't be as hard to program as the radiant AI that they put in the game. I love Oblivion, but that was a serious turn-off.
