X360F Review: XFPS - KB & Mouse on 360

Jan 15th 2007 5:00PM (Joystiq Xbox)
I also think comparing the performance to that of a PC is very unfair, I did order this device not because I wanted the twich sensitivity I am used to in CS but because I want to use a keyboard and mouse in games fully knowing I am limited to the sensitivity of the individual game .. I fully intend to find a cheap low dpi optical mouse to try and match that of the analog stick itself.. like anything I will experience a learning curve on how much i need to move my wrist to get accurate.. If your looking for the twich combat and the ability to twich your wrist and do a 180 then you are asking way way to much of this device

X360F Review: XFPS - KB & Mouse on 360

an Xbox 360 analog stick has mabye 100dpi of control points ?? when your using a mouse that has a high dpi of 400 or 800 it will obviously feel different than on a PC .. PC games are designed for high DPI and contain options to increase your sensitivity beyond that of what a console game has.. for example if you have a game accepting less than 100 control points ( think of a grid 50/50) and use a decive with a grid of say ( 400/400 )800dpi it is going to take more movement on the mouse than if the mouse was native to a 50/50 100dpi.. I may have that backwards but i think you get the idea .. like if you use a controller on a pc game and crank the ingame sensitivity to max once you move your analog stick a millimeter it will translate into a huge movement ingame.. becase of the controlers low dpi
