Dec 20th 2006 3:18PM (Joystiq)When do you play video games?
Nov 3rd 2006 6:46PM (Joystiq)I play when I have time, as well. On a side note, I think once females are re-introduced to the art of videogaming today, the stereotypes of it being a ritualistic male endeavor will die.

Sep 29th 2006 2:35PM (Joystiq)Remember when joystiq left a many of you waiting until 12:00am for 'Headline News' and all it ended up being was the fact that IBM was shipping the Wii's processors?
Without indirectly rubbing it in your face, you really should re-evaluate your definition of hipocricy. Lol.
How much time are you getting out of your games?
Sep 25th 2006 6:21PM (Joystiq)immersive it doesnt matter how long the chapter - you'll get through
the book.
The risk you run with an open ended game, is that
it gets shuffled away because of lack of interest if poorly designed. But if the gamegives you the facility for playing in meaningful segments, then it's worth playing all the way through
I, incidently, play all a variety of epic games in small bursts of half-an-hour a day. It
makes for better entertainment than T.V., and its nice, with a few games,to give yourself time to wallow in the suspense about finding out what happens to your character next. More dimensions are added when you have important decisions to make that impact the game as a whole.
Again, without digressing too much further - I
have to restate that game design and length are very much related and influential on the overall play experience. You just can't look at game length independantly.

Sep 14th 2006 6:14PM (Joystiq)I never thought someone could dismiss the death of innocents so quickly. Really, if any of those 'innocents' was related to you - would you really toss it up as inevitable?
And to the rest of the posters - talking about the killer and his (in my eyes *diliberate*) mention of videogames, do you suspect that we've really given the killer more of what he wanted in the first place - a celebrity status?
Columbine game scapegoated for Montreal shootings
Sep 14th 2006 4:18PM (Joystiq)It's trash to even post his face on this website and try and skew this into a gaming article. People died and you're going to gloss that over with a 'regrettable' statement?
What I see is some introvert that saw through the fact that no matter how you spin what he was planning to do - his face would end up everywhere. He got that, and we all get to look at ourselves and question our morality for letting him get that.
