I've gotta say, this sounds a lot like Colin Firth on WMP at Fast speed.

Funny though

PS3 ad banned for touting backwards compatibility

I know this isn't a sony ad, but if Sony made PS2 software emulation instead of making it an afterthought to shift more systems then this article simply wouldn't be here now.

PS3 ad banned for touting backwards compatibility

May 7th 2008 1:51PM (Joystiq)
This is Sony's fault for touting full PS2 BC in the first place, then crippling it in every new SKU they've brung out. Microsoft never went the of making a fully featured SKU, then removing features then replacing the old SKU's etc.

Japanese hardware sales, Nov. 5 - Nov. 11: Twice in a lifecycle edition

Backwards Compatibility DOES matter, especially if there is a lack of new games available, wii is winning overall because for one its got the best BC of any of the current generations consoles out there, so GC fans can keep their library of games, and classic games to boot as well and wiiware next year. If wii had better online many more would buy it. Another note, PS3 doesn't win with the recent wii shortages, once nintendo get back on track thats when it really begins...

Sony have so many fudging SKUs that its almost impossible to get concrete info on each, so if someone happens to sell their PS2 in an effort to buy a 40GB PS3, they are screwed when their PS2 games won't work on it.

SCEE says no more 60GB PlayStation 3 in US after July [Update]

This time next year, sony will have more SKU's than Microsoft can shake a stick at! Honestly its getting ridiculous.

Remember that nobody sells DS phats anymore afaik because nintendo phased them out, a natural decline.

You do know what AJAX means don't you?

Asyncronous Javascript And XML.

Opera already supports it and I have no doubt Opera for wii does too.

Nintendo: Virtual Console games "have not been changed"

Nov 13th 2006 7:54PM (Joystiq)
I'm sure all of us would like to have additional features etc to old games, but come to think about it, if all did, how many VC games will we get? Let nintendo bring out the classics first, then they can rework them when there is a healthy supply of games out.

Good question: why doesn't the Xbox 360 have its own browser?

Oct 16th 2006 7:06PM (Joystiq)
Newsflash: Wii's browser can look good whatever the resolution, as Opera has a built in zoom function(and no, not like the other browsers) it zooms entire websites meaning you could have it set at a specific zoom size and not worry about screen estate.

And Wii's browser WILL have flash, so google video and youtube for example WILL be possible.

Anyway wii's browser will be better than PS3's in terms of accessibility and features anyway.
