'Smallville' Picked Up For Season 11, Will Feature Krypto the Superdog

Apr 2nd 2011 2:33AM (ComicsAlliance)
Um, actually, you forgot that Shelby is Clark's poorly cared for canine. I'm sure that at some point (like everything else on the show), she'll be exposed to some form of kryptonite and gain powers before this season's over.

Capcom's Spyborgs resurfaces, fresh video and screens

Hopefully Insomniac doesn't mind them totally stealing Ratchet's head for the head of the robot in this game. Maybe he's Ratchet's long lost cousin?

Wow! That touchtable is awesome! I can't wait for this game! That table makes the game so worth it! I mean, without that touchtable, the game seems lame and derivative, but with it, I mean, come on! Woo!

Man, I have to go get some dress slacks.

Germans reveal Ticket to Ride, rate other XBLA games

Mar 21st 2008 5:38PM (Joystiq)
Awesome! Ticket to Ride is good fun. Everyone that I've introduced to the board game (gamers and non-gamers alike) all really enjoy it and ask to play again. It has an excellent mix of strategy vs. luck, short and long term goal setting/achievement and diplomacy vs backstabbing. should be fun!

Well, he seems to say it just about every movie:
"You lay one finger on her and I swear I will kill you."

We Wait for Wii (Boston edition)

Oct 13th 2006 4:56PM (Joystiq)
Me and a buddy were in line in Southern Mass (Attleboro). We arrived at 9:00 and there were 12 people there. By the time the store opened at 10:00, there were fully 32 people there (the number of consoles they had available for preorder). It seemed to be about 50% 20-something year-old guys buying the consoles for themselves and 50% moms or grandmas buying the console for their kids. Sounded like almost everyone also preordered at least Zelda, if not more games. Maybe with a cheaper console price, Nintendo will move more games, too?

Ad Critic: Dungeon Siege reaches new low

Aug 15th 2006 11:39PM (Joystiq)
That's one of the reasons that I couldn't play through all of even Dungeon Siege II's demo. In the very tutorial, they're yelling orders at you and in full-on voice over they're yelling crap about which key to press on your keyboard. Wow! Talk about killing immersion.

New FFXII info: prepare for long gaming sessions [Update 1]

Feb 2nd 2006 5:02PM (Joystiq)
I have no problem with unskippable cutscenes, the first time through. Some games actually do this. If I save, go through a couple dungeon levels, encounter a boss, watch his 15 minute cutscene, fight him and die, when I load my save and get to the boss again, I should be able to skip it. I've already seen it. I doubt anyone who buys a FF game wants to not watch the cutscenes at all. I think they (and I) have a problem with having to always watch them, over and over again, even when you've already seen them.

As for save points, the save point in the world should have died years ago. Spacing out save points in the world is an archaic and artificial limitation. It doesn't make your game harder, it makes it less user friendly. If you could save anywhere, then to balance the game they would have to rely solely on balancing combat. Shudder to think!
