Lost: There's No Place Like Home, Part One

May 16th 2008 2:22AM (AOL TV)
"Hurley asked Jin if anybody else was coming and Jin said, no. And Hurley responded: "Good.""

Doh. I meant to type "Sun" instead of "Jin." Time to go to bed. I-)

I'm thinking, too, it's Jack whom Sun blames for Jin's (supposed) death. This might also explain the episode where Sun and Hurley visit Jin's "grave": Hurley asked Jin if anybody else was coming and Jin said, no. And Hurley responded: "Good."

I wonder if we'll see Jin's dead body in the finale. If we don't, then it's possible he could return next season -- or maybe the plan is to hold off bringing him back until the final season.

And the last two parts of the finale (to air in two weeks) will also feature flash-forwards from multiple characters.

And for you TV trivia buffs: Torrance High also stood in for Sunnydale High in the first three seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Torrance High appears in A LOT of TV shows and movies. It's definitely a school campus worth checking out if you are visiting LA and want to see familiar Hollywood-set locations. (I would advise walking around Torrance High on the weekends or in the summer, when school isn't in session, out of consideration to the students and surrounding community.)

They may as well start writing the black kid off the show -- cynical me predicts his character will be severely under-utilized and confined to the background as the "smiling best buddy".

Reaper: The Leak

Sam asked Jerry (Satan) point-blank if Cady was his daughter. Satan said no, without hesitation. I'm inclined to believe him, despite him being Satan. But the way Satan answered suggested that Sam was onto something (who Satan is the father of).

I don't think Mike is Sam's father. Mike's story was meant to allude to the deal that went down between Satan and Sam's parents, which resulted in the conception of Sam.

But the one question I'd like answered: WTF happened to Sam's younger brother?? Have the producers simply decided to "forget" him from this series entirely?

BSG: Razor Flashback - The war is over - VIDEO

franklin's theory fits well with what's been revealed so far. that would mean this show is actually set in the far-off future. it would also explain why it is that the fashion styles, culture, system of government, religion (all the stuff about the greek gods) and language of the colonials is like that of earth's.

if this is true, then the question is why did we (earth) create these replicant humans and send them off? does earth/earth humanity die off in the future? what is the current status of earth (which we saw in last season's finale)?

Eudora 8 beta email client is based on Thunderbird

Sep 4th 2007 9:59PM (Download Squad)
@Franklin:

Ideally, the plan is that Eudora will eventually take on Outlook in enterprise (business). Eudora has back-end tech that appeals to this market that could become implemented into Thunderbird, helping to make Thunderbird even better and feature rich for the average user.

So, Eudora becomes the "enterprise branded" version of Thunderbird, and would be marketed and commercially supported as such. Thunderbird is the base version that "everybody else" uses. Both would be free to download and use and remain open source.

Will Clooney return to ER?

I can also definitely imagine viral video/promotion possibilities with the "Dr. Greene returns in medical instructional videos" idea. NBC could release the videos online to help promote the series finale. They could also set up a Website for a fictitious instructional video production company, where E.R. fans can visit to watch all the clips. The videos could also be interactive -- during a simulated emergency room scenario, Dr. Greene looks at you/the camera and asks "What do you do next?" followed by a selection of medical procedures you can click on to choose.

I hope NBC or the producers of E.R. read this thread and seriously consider this idea for bringing back Greene/Anthony Edwards.

Will Clooney return to ER?

@Franklin

I LOVE your idea of how to bring Greene back! It fits better than trying to pull the Six Feet Under cliche of having the living characters imagining dead characters, or the living dreaming about the dead. E.R. has stuck to presenting things "realistically" and these two methods wouldn't fit with the show.

They could work in throughout the final season clips from these instructional videos hosted by Greene -- brief scenes where interns are watching Greene on a screen, a notebook sitting on a table that is playing Greene's video, and so on. Like how they do it on LOST with the character of Dr. Marvin Candle/Mark Wickman, who only appears in the DHARMA instructional videos.

Don Bluth Still Wants to Make a 'Dragon's Lair' Movie

Apr 30th 2007 3:25AM (Cinematical)
I have not-so-fond memories of this game as a child. I say not-so-fond because it really wasn't much of a game, per se, but it was indeed a finely animated piece.

Frankly, though, I just don't see the appeal of a Dragon's Lair flick... I'm not going to word it as cynically as my fellow poster above. But I can't see why any investor would want to put it towards a traditional 2D-animated feature that's based on an old, not-so-fondly remembered video-game property. In situations like this, you gotta ask yourself: If YOU were a multi-millionaire who invested in movies to produce and make money from, then would you put your own money down for this and expect to turn a profit? There's your answer right there.
