I enjoyed many of those movies but didn't think
of them as serious drama. They were spoofs on
themselves. I can understand if Fred might resent
the fact that he was not fully recognized for his
hard work. He had quite a following back in the
day but the film establishment looked down on
these works.

I find it ironic that the name of the Place was Cracker Barrel. A lot of whites have a hard time facing the fact that all blacks are not stupid and lazy. A lot of them have accomplished very little in life beyond getting a job and have to deal with the fact that they are not really smart. Then here comes this black guy and his women who are both very smart and accomplished. Now they feel threatened. Well too bad. Get over it.

I found it ironic that she liked Woody Allen
flicks which are mostly set in NYC but have no black characters. I liked some of his work too but found the absence of black folks odd.

It was obviously a set up and he was stupid enough to get caught in the trap. I remember how outraged the white folks around me were when this black guy got aquited for killing one of their own.They were determined to get him at any cost. Strange how there were so many tape recorders in the room when it all came down. Hmmm!

The front looks like it came of a Yaris. The back still looks like it was rear ended by an 18 wheeler.Buying Prius does nothing for the environment since it takes vast amounts of energy to produce the batteries. Might as well just buy a Yaris and save money & gas.

Talk about nostalgia! Just the sound of the background music transported me back to the 80's. Has there ever been a discussion on who composed that "old time" arcade music or how it was produced? Sounds like it was all made on the synthesizers from that era with all their limitations.

Audra, It could be that IS all she has to offer. She is a performer not a singer. Unfortunatly,at her age she can't keep up the pace she maintained in her youth. Her limited vocal range is not enough to provide the high level of entertainment she once did. All that gyrating & jumping around is what she knows. She needs to adjust her act to fit her age and abilities. She has to keep going 'cause she supports her family as Michael & the others provide nothing by way of financial support. I'm hoping for her full recovery.

Even if every black moviegoer were to support the film, without significant white patronage it would be difficult to show huge earnings. Most non African Americans are not that interested in seeing a story about heroic black soldiers. Instead they spent their money on the white guy in Eagle Eye,& & Nights in Rodanthe. I'm not surprised. Are you?
