We need your Halo or Bungie questions {Joystiq Xbox}

Oct 13th 2008 8:01PM Why is Bungie keeping the multiplayer identical to H3? The subtle changes in gameplay we can expect in the campaign excite me, but I'm disappointed that they aren't extending this fresh take on Halo's tried-and-true formula. Halo multiplayer has hands down the most complete featured experience available, but for many the gameplay has gotten stale. More of the same isn't going to bring new faces to matchmaking playlists, nor will it bring back old ones. If you're taking the time to create a new gameplay experience in the campaign, do the same in the MP. Halo 3's traditional style will still be there for those that prefer it.

Xbox Live: Halo 3 expansion coming, possibly on Jan 6, 2009 {Joystiq}

Sep 25th 2008 11:00AM Yay thanks for posting my image :)

DS Daily: The other Wi-Fi {Joystiq Nintendo}

Aug 15th 2008 9:58AM I've used the game of the week feature in Civ:Rev for the last couple weeks running.

I honestly think C:R is the best DS game ever, lol. It's perfect for a hand held, it absolutely gobbles free time. It has me taking my DS with me when I leave the house, which is something I never do. Yay!

Second Halo short sneaks online {Joystiq}

Aug 23rd 2007 12:29PM what energy shield, morons. they are ODST. not SPARTANs. and they're fighting Brutes, not elites. There would be no energy shields in that battle anyway. I love how you sit all high and mighty and critique everything about halo, when you dont even know jack shit about the fucking franchise.

that said, that short sucked balls.

'Pink Panther' Sequel Nabs Excellent Cast {Cinematical}

Aug 9th 2007 3:46PM I'm delighted to see Ms. Rai taking more western roles. Nothing really groundbreaking or anything, and I doubt they ever will be honestly, but more opportunities to see her the better. Ever since 'Bride and Predjudice' I've been waiting for her to become more significant in Hollywood, but it's definately taken a few years. Might have something to do with the fact that she refuses to ever do an on-screen kiss, but she's such a ringer for the love interest (esp in adventure films with exotic love interests, etc). Imagine Indiana Jones getting the girl but...not being able to kiss her. Heh.

After Last Night's Wild 'Silver Surfer' Screening, Tiffany Chen Responds to Chud.com Slams Through Cinematical {Cinematical}

Jun 15th 2007 11:34PM Wow all that just to lose huge amounts of respect from your readership. Chud is a total waste of time and Devin sounds like a prick, but how the hell is this an article? #7 was spot on. This never, ever should have been posted. Save the personal drama stories for the people in the industry we actually care about. You're bloggers, you're not even journalists. Don't mean to come off as a dick, but seriously. Find me someone in the entertainment industry that _doesn't_ agree with that statement at this point. You'll get there, but this is a huge step backwards. Jesus.

Halo 3 pre-orders top 4 million? {Joystiq Xbox}

May 10th 2007 5:11PM haha sorry for my combative sounding nature, I just copied that from a post I made on a message board earlier today, but it was kind of mid-argument, so my tone was a bit much. Sorry guys! You know who loves ya. Oh btw Halo.bungie.net quoted me based on that!! I'm famous! ;)

Halo 3 pre-orders top 4 million? {Joystiq Xbox}

May 10th 2007 2:31PM ok this is bullshit lets run through some numbers.

I worked at gamestop store 1577 when it JUST opened, it opened in 2003. assuming they number stores logically/chronologically, there were 1,577 gamestops at that time. with the aquisition/merger of EB, lets assume the number has AT LEAST doubled since then, giving us 3,154 stores. we'll double that number AGAIN, realistically giving us WAY WAY more theoretical stores than there are actual gamestops and EB's in north america.

so, with 6,308 theoretical stores taking reservations in that statistic, EACH STORE would have to have an average of _634_(!!!!) Halo 3 reservations. no. fucking. way. We got over 200 reservations for Halo 2, and thats with the MUCH larger installed base of the Xbox 1, AND it was the most reserved title in the companies history. I have no doubts that the reserves for Halo 3 will be insane, but not even CLOSE to 600 per store. and again, thats assuming a RIDICULOUS number of stores!

If we were to use the 3,154 number, which I would imagine is MUCH more realistic, each store would have to have closer to _1268_ reserves! EACH FUCKING STORE.

so yeah, this is COMPLETE bullshit lol

Playing Dirty: We fit together! {Joystiq}

Mar 15th 2007 11:30AM Wooooooooow joystiq are you really that desperate to have a sex column that you're willing to publish this? I know we're horny game geeks and any time a girl writes about body parts going into orifices we're supposed to wet ourselves with excitement, but really. Can't we just accept at this point that the main place our industry and sex intersect are in the minds of people playing games, and not in any real meaningful way?
