They've shipped that many to retailers, but they're not selling very quickly. Many retailers have a lot of excess stock.

Xbox 360 had nearly equivalent numbers sold to customers by this point. Those continued to sell with no problems.

I for one never owned an Xbox, but I have a Wii60 now, with no plans to buy a PS3 because there's simply nothing worth playing on it.
