Chris, I could also gloat about the fact that WP7 is a great platform, with a really nice, responsive UI, great battery life, and a good (though not as good as iOS and Android) app ecosystem. You guys at Joystiq sure love to harp on Windows Phone. Why all the hate?

Don't even get me started on the BCS, Joystiq. You'll regret it.

I'm glad that things seem to have worked out for the guy. Not to go too much into my personal life, but, I can relate.

It's just a UI choice. Although later builds have the text on the lock screen not run off.
