It's a nice gesture but I think we should just have been credited an extra month of XBL Gold instead. It makes more sense and I figure at least 50% of XBLAer won't even bother downloading the game.
Funny enough, XBLive issues is probably the best thing to happen to Chair Entertainment, the developer of Undertow. Microsoft probably cut them a fat check and they'll get exposure from thousands of gamers who wouldn't have touched Undertow at all if it cost them money.
Does anybody even care about Highlander anymore? Out of all of the films, original series, and even the anime - they all pretty much sucked except the first one w/ Sean Connery.
When they added aliens and ufos to the Highlander mythos they might as well have stuck Christopher Lambert on a pair of skis so he could jump over a shark.
This is why I hate video game review scoring systems. It's similiar to a new Harry Potter book comes and book reviewer X gives the book an 33/40. It makes no f'ing sense.
Let's keep it to a simple 5-star system where users will get a general idea of how great the game may be and they'll actually spare 5 minutes to read the review instead of trying to evaluate what a 33/40 or even a 40/40 really means.
I mean really if a game is score 31 or 36 will it sway you either way???
accelerometer technology has been around for almost 20 years and sticking it into a gamepad is nothing special. There were PC peripherals releases in the late 90s that offered similar control execution.
I also appreciate Dan standing up for his integrity but i'm not feeling that Playgirl pose he's striking. Come on Joystiq...you couldn't find a less disturbing image of the Hsu?!
