Then I'd have to sync again to get the current playback positions in line. Doing it this way lets me keep everything playing continuously, uninterrupted through my whole apartment as I'm getting ready in the morning.

A lot of people listen to their iPhone or iPad plugged into a speaker system. This would let them use their iOS device as a free AirPlay receiver, so they could pipe their music/audio from their laptop (iTunes/Quicktime/etc) to their speaker system.

I use a wireless speaker system in my shower and I connect my iPhone to its transmitter, then use AirFoil to pipe my iTunes podcasts to the iPhone (and thereby to the wireless shower speaker). I've been waiting for something like this so I can skip the 3rd party stuff (AirFoil never worked that well for me) and use AirPlay for that.

We're in a recession because nobody is spending money. There isn't less money, people just aren't spending it. They aren't spending it because everybody is telling them we're in a recession.

If everybody just went back to spending money (except, perhaps, only spending money they ACTUALLY HAVE), recession over.

Since many people determine social and economic norms from television, a TV show telling us that it's OK to spend money again might be a great public service.

You're never going to be able to make this argument to a studio exec because The Ring (PG-13) made something like infinity billion dollars.

Movie execs can only hear "___ made a bunch of money, lets emulate it" and have no capacity for "___ lost money, lets try something different."

After that prolonged walk-and-talk at the top of the show and the unusual fast-paced and smart banter all throughout, I could have sworn the episode was directed by West Wing/Studio 60's Thomas Schlamme. The quality of the writing and directing had a very Sorkin feel.

But then once the episode credits came on, it was apparent that wasn't the case. It was written and directed by Steve Franks, the show's creator.

I'd just like to point out that inserting a catheter into yourself would probably be one of the most difficult things on Earth, up there with ripping your own heart out and eating it.

It may have been because I'd just had surgery, but when I had a catheter put in it was -the- most painful thing I had ever experienced, and I was already on morphine. MORPHINE, not vicodin.

Oh well, maybe as a doctor (and a guy) he knows a secret that the nurse who did mine didn't know.

That movie takes place in the 1970s. So..... no.

You could tell Curtis was going to die, because he was looking so chubby. The only reason he'd start out a new season without getting in shape is if someone called him and said he'd be dead by episode 4, so not to bother with the situps.

They lately seem to start seasons out by clearing out a few contracts, killing some long-timers for shock value.

MadTV did the same thing with The Sopranos on PAX. Whole episode cut down to 3 minutes, etc etc, laugh laugh.
