Crisis Core pre-orders score special earbuds

Jul 24th 2007 6:26AM (Joystiq Playstation)
Any word on whether the North American version is going to get any of this cool stuff to go along with it's release? (earbuds, PSP slim, etc, etc)

The K'lap!

lmfao.

Bravo Wil, another great review.

2007 year of the PSP RPG?

Jan 15th 2007 1:54AM (Joystiq Playstation)
Hmm, so many RPGs, so little time. My top three would be the following:

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy Tactics
Dungeons & Dragons: Tactics

Does this mean it is finally THE year to own a PSP? Some of us have been kind of waiting...

Battlestar Galactica: Occupation / Precipice (season premiere)

Oct 11th 2006 6:44AM (AOL TV)
Nick said: Also, should I watch the webisodes? I mean, I watched The Office ones and felt like they were really stupid (and I love The Office) so I just decided not to waste my time with these.

You definitely should watch the webisodes! And not watching them before you saw the premiere will matter not a bit. They will just be like the flashbacks that are sure to inundate the show for the next few episodes. And I found they greatly added to my getting familiar with the whole occupation plotline.

New Square Enix games revealed for DS and PS2

"wow, that's a new idea to make your blog more popular: piss people off on a fake spoiler. Novel."

Good call Tyler.

I guess if you can't write a quality article about your subject matter, you instead come up with some lame fake spoiler to stir the pot for you in the hopes that no one will notice.

I don't know about the rest of the readers here, but I have noticed a major decline in the quality of the posts on this site over the past few months. And this isn't whining, just a long time reader saying bye bye. As of 15 seconds ago, consider me unsubscribed Joystiq. So long, good luck.

Metroid tattoo, plus baggage

Aug 9th 2006 6:29AM (Joystiq)
I got a tattoo done of the Zanarakand Abes logo adorned by Tidus in FFX a few years ago.

I decided on that symbol because I was so moved by the character's death and eventual rebirth that was only made possible from the strength of Yuna's love for him. It moved me because that is really how I feel about my wife: That I would be as insubstatial as a dream if not for her love for me.

And no, I'm not scoring points with her with the above comments; there is a 0% chance of her ever reading them.

Analyzing JT's rhetoric: assassins vs. gamers

Jun 5th 2006 9:54PM (Joystiq)
"Nobody shoots anybody in the face unless you're a hit man or a video gamer."

Looks like somebody has never heard of porn.

Am I the only one who thinks this is the funniest comment on this thread? I'm still laughing my ass off.

Overheard at E3: We're your props

May 12th 2006 5:58AM (Joystiq)
I can't even begin to describe how disappointed I was when I found out I couldn't get to E3 this year. I'd been planning the trip for two years, and when my plans feel through I was crushed.

And it's photos like the one above that drive a stake into the heart of every gamer (like me) that couldn't make it to the event this year.

The only saving grace is the magnificent coverage Joystiq is able to provide us with.

Battle on brave soldiers. Battle on for the rest of us.

The 2006 Joystiq t-shirt

Apr 26th 2006 6:17AM (Joystiq)
It's a shame most posters feel the need to kiss the designer's ass in this thread. Yes its a pretty picture of something very closely resembling Godzilla, but there were way cleaner designs that actually conveyed the message that the shirt is 'Joystiq' better, and many of those used far more appropriate graphics to do it. The Space Invaders entry comes to mind.

And I'm not sure if I agree with the IP argument. Isn't Godzilla a pretty well protected property? IF you can go with that, you likely could have gone with many other protected properties that might have been infringed upon, and even used something that connotes VIDEOGAMES while you're at it.

And while we're on it, did I miss the post that explained wtf Godzilla has to do with Joystiq in the 1st place?

Bottom line: Nice design for a non gaming site, but I wouldn't buy one of these shirts if they were free. Missed the boat on this one guys, big time.

Joystiq t-shirt contest finalists

#1 and #7 are my faves.

But all are totally first rate!

Its a credit to the quality of the blog that so many great designs were entered.
