Sony bought out Nintendo, Bill Gates promises to pay for a free trip to Japan for all fanboys who want to assault Sony HQ.

Now THAT'S major next-gen news.

Ouch... but really, who didn't see this coming? We all know about the bad press Sony has been getting lately with BluRay and PS3.

I sort of expect negitive news about anything Sony related on a daily basis now.

Well, this seems really unlikely to me. However, if any of the big three were to do such a thing, it'd be Nintendo.

Also, if it's true (I don't think it is) that's cool and all but it wouldn't really matter to me. What's cool about the Wii is the controller.

Does the Wii need a Mario game at launch when it already has quite a few big titles? Seriously, Zelda at launch, ZELDA! One that EVERYONE has been waiting for at that, not just some quickly pushed out game either.

Don't forget those other big launch games as well.

Actually, a Mario game launch about 1 or 2 months after launch may be perfect. Assuming the Wii launches 2 months before Christmas Mario will be far enough from the the launch window to not be overlooked amoung the other titles, while still being in stores in time for the holidays.

Maybe even bundle the Mario game in with the system for Christmas as well? Who knows. All I know if that I can't wait to try this thing out. It really sounds fantastic.
