I'm looking forward to LostWinds, actually :)

I'm a fan of klein bottles, though I'm not sure if that actually counts as a "shape".

Joyswag: Win this $5K dollar gaming rig from Falcon Northwest

I am young enough that my first computer, a now-ancient 68k Mac, *did* have a hard drive. I was like six so I don't remember ever knowing how big it was, but given that we had an external 100 MB drive to "expand" its storage, it must have been 50-200 MB or so.

Which becomes ridiculous when you realize that my current *laptop* has 81,920 MB of internal storage with an external 204,800 MB hard drive sitting under my desk over there (roughly).

I am most thankful for my Wii. It was the only time I've ever gotten anything on release day (system, game or otherwise)... waiting outside in the cold in the early morning was definitely worth it, since they're still hard to come by.

Oh, and not playing it for months while away at school made me appreciate its awesomeness a lot. :)

Off the Grid plays with Icehouse

Those interested in Fluxx or Treehouse may want to try Volity: http://volity.net/ You can play a number of games, including those two, for free over the internet.

You've gotta download a small Java app (though they are working on an HTML implementation), but it totally kicks butt, if you can find people to play with. There's really no 'net game like Werewolf, though I'm sure it's better in person too.

DS Daily: How do you homebrew?

Jan 20th 2007 6:14PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
@15: I use a SuperCard SD on a Mac. The only problem's I've encountered are that Disk Utility does not seem to format the card in a way that the SC likes (must use Windows formatting programs) and that the patcher only runs on Windows. You only need the patcher for GBA and commercial DS games anyways, so it's not a big deal. I'm required to open up Virtual PC occasionally, but most of the stuff (including actually developing your own homebrew) can be done with a Mac.

Oh, and most of the emulators require some sort of Windows-only program. Not all, but most.
