I play WoW in 6-9 spurts. In that time I will level a toon and get pretty damn close to getting the best gear PVE possible. Once I feel that PVE progression is no longer fun, I will start running BGs and gearing up for PVP. Once I feel that I have a pretty good feel for the class, how it plays in PVE and PVP, have decent gear for all specs and have tried all the specs out, I usually stop playing WoW for 3-6 months.
When I come back I start the process all over again with a new class. So far I have done this with a druid, paladin, shaman, mage, and hunter. Those toons were left at their peak when I stopped playing them, but now they are just undergeared toons with one waiting to become "my main" when Cataclysm drops.
Hold on. It's 2007, one of the biggest innoavtions in gaming is online play and developers are still making games that don't feature some sort of online capabilities?! Every game, and I mean every game should have some sort of online function. It could be something as simple as an online versus mode, where you can fight with the characters from the game. It is 2007, we should be flying around in hover cars and robbing banks with laser guns. Since that stuff is not happening the least they can do is make it so I can play video games against the Chinese and Australians.
I love how Denis Dyack makes this, "games should be shorter" statement before his hyped up game comes out. So when you get Too Human and finish it in 8 hours he will just say that the thinks games should be shorter, look I said it months ago.
I have no problem with the main storyline in a game being 10-15 hours long, but for $60 you better have some side quests, a great multiplayer feature, acheivements, something else to keep me interested after I bought a game that I should have rented.
"Problem is that at $600, I don't have any friends with a PS3. I could see having fun with this game on my Xbox 360 with all the friends I have on it."--Hoffer
Are people getting there 360s from a magic fountain for free? When did $600 become official, "THAT'S OUTRAGEOUS" price. A 360 cost about $550 out the door, and a PS3 around $750. If you spent $550 on a 360, an extra controller and a game, how can you complain about another $200. I can see if you bought a Wii then $750 is steep. But if you bought a 360 then you can afford a PS3. Please stop whining about the price. If you want to cry about something cry about the lack of games. There hasn't been a MUST HAVE PS3 release yet. And Lair, doesn't look like a MUST HAVE so please don't talk about the "super September line up."
Microsoft exclusives?! I doubt it. I can play Halo on my Apple laptop right now, (well when I get off work) and it doesn't have anything to do with Microsoft.
Hold on, so when the PS3 loses exclusives its the end of the world, but when the 360 loses an exclusive its, "I never liked that game that much anyways", or "the 360 and the PC are one in the same"? I love double standards keep 'em coming.
I am glad its coming to PC, I am thinking of getting/building a PC for gaming. That or a 42" LCD. Hmmm… Anyone know if I can put together a high end gaming rig with DirectX 10 for under $2,ooo, then i can do both.
Too bad this game is not Mac compatible, I might have played it. The fact the WoW is Mac compatible made me pick the game up and I played it for about 18 months. You can't be a WoW killer when you can't even fully takeover their market.
