Xbox Live Code of Conduct updated: sexual orientation terms now permitted in Gamertags and profiles

Mar 5th 2010 11:23AM (Joystiq)
Oh man, this is so true. I've been over-using the kilt, would love my avatar to cross-dress. Feel the same way as the poster above, I give MS props, but at the end of the day I'm gonna be called a F** by an 8 year-old either way.

The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile announced for XBLA; watch the trailer now

The first game was hard as hell, but I never held that against it. I end up buying whatever this studio does, something about the style that is refreshing and just plain bad ass. Keep pumping them out and you will get my cash, be it 100, 800, or 1200 points.

Greenberg: No plans for 250GB Xbox hard drive outside of bundles

Feb 12th 2010 4:12PM (Joystiq)
Anyone who uses their Xbox on the regular knows it sounds like a Jet Aircraft when the disc is spinning, making game installs incredibly necessary. Claiming there is no reason to fill up 120gb is crap. Man, my Fallout 3 + Expansions installation must be approaching 10GB alone. Jesus.

The effects of re-releases on classic game pricing

Dec 17th 2009 10:49AM (Joystiq)
Why exactly are you calling game collectors jerks? Collectors buy, trade, and sell commodities just like anyone else, surely they shouldn't be demonized for doing so. I would hardly call it hoarding, it's the dynamics of the used video game market. Ports are fine, but the collectors market will solider on, even if the value of the items in question comes back to earth. You can add your sealed copy of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 to the stack of Magic Cards and The Death Of Superman comic books. Love the data presented, could of gone without the attitude.

Avatar holiday collection hits XBLM

Are we going to do this each time Avatar Items are released? it's childish. Some people like buying clothing, they don't need to be demonized. It's not depressing, it's a product, that some people don't mind paying for. You are not forced to purchase them. Eventually you will get more free items via Avatar Awards.

Awesome until Tragic Kingdom. Trapped In A Box is still a classic single.

Project Runway sews up a March 2, 2010 release

Exactly. Let's reserve judgment until we know how polished a game it is. You can call it a cash-in, but if it is a non-broken playable release then it is good for everyone. The more people we can bring to the table, the better.

Great game, but i wish It could soar above game save corruption issues. I learned my lesson, must exit to menu and quit.

Mad Catz announces SFIV controllers, accessories

Haha, it's picking nits for sure, but I kinda agree with you. The pricing info has been out for a while, especially with the fiasco that was the obvious price error on the Barnes&Noble\Gamestop pre-order fo the Tournament stick earlier in this week. A bunch of us at CAG placed orders for 39.99, which was eventually corrected. They haven't been canceled [yet], but that deal was spread everywhere, people ordered tons.
