Yeah, I gotta say, I was really confused reading comments like "lots of people talking like this where I live."

Where the hell do you live? In an Alex Haley novel? This accent just doesn't exist anymore. If you can't tell the difference between this accent and the modern urban accent commonly associated with contemporary black Americans, you must have a dog of a time distinguishing between Texans and Carolinians. Or cockney and received pronunciation.

If you hear people talking like this in the music you listen to, you're listening to Al Jolson.

See, I never upgraded to the DSi, so I've got nothing to complain about on my 3DS. I'm sure if you owned a DSi this whole time it probably felt like there was nothing being released digitally, but in the two or three years since launch, the trickle of content has added up to a surprisingly deep well of great downloadable content for us that never had the ability before. I play my 3DS a whole lot, even though the only retail games I've had are Zelda, Pilotwings and Ghost Recon (which I really enjoyed a lot--not sure how this one flew so thoroughly under the radar, even if the "3D" aspect is less than astounding).

I tend to agree. I think five bucks for a Zelda game or the like seems acceptable, but Balloon Fighter? Don't get me wrong, I loves me some Balloon Fighter, but it sure doesn't feel like 5 bucks worth of loving me some.

Holy crap! One profit forecast reduction and we're already at "Nintendo's getting out of the hardware business" talk again.

These guys are making some big missteps, but also look to be trying--at least trying--to rectify them. They've been on top for five years. Five years! That's not only luck, and looking at one bad day after five years of unmitigated success and saying "they're through!" is a ridiculous prediction.

I have to at least partially agree. Vita looks really impressive, but when talking about games and lineups and such... it's not out yet. Five months or so ago joystiq was abuzz with how 3DS had the best launch lineup ever. How'd that work out? And the theoretical thing you haven't touched is always going to look better than the thing in your hands, warts and all.
