3DS price drops to $170 on August 12

@CaptainProtonX

I call shenanigans on that article. In my experience, the 3DS plays DS games without any problem. And if there are issues with the resolution or whatever... I can't see'em. It's a perfectly suitable. And more comfortable than my old DS.

Yeah. Not really sure how Sony "wins" by having their competitor at a more attractive price point. Also, eye strain? Does anybody actually have this problem?

Boy howdy. This is a huge drop. That they've got this "20 free games" thing for us early adopters is both thoughtful and thought-out. Still, I can't help but feel that this is a bad sign for the handheld's future. Kind of tempers the good news, right?

Or the giant boar demon in the opening scene of Princess Mononoke. Miyazaki, genius that he inarguably is, has some pretty big tropes he repurposes time and time again. I guess someone else ought to be able to do so too.

Seriously. It feels like there's a snowball rumbling through all of my favorite old game companies. Sega has completely crumbled, Capcom is more and more a joke, SquareEnix is so misguided you almost have to feel sorry for them.

The list goes on and on.

That's the smartest reference of them all! Kids today. Read a book.

Some French guy... I could kill him just because the sun's in my eyes.

Hey, does anyone know if they ever made a remake of Yellow? Also, were elements of crystal incorporated in HG and SS?

You, boy: what day is it?!

Fox & Friends gets 'fair and balanced' with Modern Warfare 2 discussion

Everything Glen Beck says is OPINION. It's an opinion show. More than that, it's an entertainment show. These people t'ain't journalists. They're entertainers. Rupert Murdock owns Fox! So we're getting Rupert Murdock's politics!!!

No. No we are not. Rupert Murdock distributes Red Chinese Communist newspapers. His politics are money. All the other news companies are controlled by Central Banking! That's too stupid to address.

There are plenty of actual journalists out there who strive to cover stories well. And plenty of actual editors out there who strive to protect their reporters. There are even many media companies that want to create good reporting!

But at the end of the day, everybody needs to make money. Joystiq gets two hundred comments out of this post. That's a happy side-effect to covering something they want to cover.

You need the media to have any idea of what's going on in the world, but you have to be able to sort what's real news and what's just preying on emotion. In the case of most television news programming (perhaps particularly Fox News) you're almost always getting the latter. Read a paper now and again, sillies.

And the next time you hear a television news show reporting on anything that seems extreme or upsetting or unbelievable, remember how inaccurate they are on this subject we know well, video games, and entertain the possibility that they're also not so bright about foreign policy or immunizations causing autism or whatever high horse they're on. It'll be good for you.
