Mar 6th 2007 12:22PM (Download Squad)Next time get a clue sometime prior to posting.
The Amazing Race All-Stars: "I'm Sorry I'm Wearing a Bathing Suit. It is Very Weird, I know."
Mar 5th 2007 12:45PM (AOL TV)I honestly, for the life of me, can't understand the attraction to Rob and Amber. Just terrible, and no offense, but to call Rob hilarious-- Sweet Jesus.
Guess I have to root for the beauty queens since so many of these teams are incompetent.
Lake Tahoe's Declining Clarity
Mar 5th 2007 2:17AM (Gadling)I don't really get what's so great about Tahoe as a whole, but that's kind of too bad. It seems like of all forms of transportation, boats would be the first to go electric-- torque is where it's at on the water, and electric's got that in spades. Boats are also less directly affected by the weight of batteries than cars. Boats in general operate at shorter distances, and in direct, high-intensity sunlight, so even some solar could be used while you're parked out there sunning yourself all day.
As for me, I got in Lake Tahoe up to my knees last June and I thought I'd need treatment for acute hypothermia. I wouldn't go out on that lake again for love or money.
Peyton Manning to host SNL on March 24
Mar 3rd 2007 5:20AM (AOL TV)Hopefully next Peyton will knock up a has-been actress. Best of luck buddy.
Warner Bros. Developing Valerie Plame Film
Mar 3rd 2007 3:28AM (Cinematical)That being said, even with the 'outing' comments in the next paragraph, Erik gets the story so much closer than 99% of people. "Lewis 'Scooter' Libby, is on trial defending accusations that he lied to FBI agents investigating the leak."
That part is correct. Libby is not charged with revealing her identity, and in fact NO ONE is because no law was broken. Fitzgerald knew from the beginning that it was Armitage, it was just a fishing expedition to try to get some perjury charges and move up the line.
We'll see if it works, but even with Erik claiming the government 'outed' her, as though proven with malice and intent, he at least got the factual part of the story correct. I'll take it.

Feb 11th 2007 11:26PM (Download Squad)Wikipedia NOT on the verge of shutting down
Feb 11th 2007 11:25PM (Download Squad)Maybe you should read the rest of the article about the reception the professors that tried got. The Wikipedia folks seem like the folks from The Open Directory. Untouchable, arrogant, and inaccessible for any support.
Wikipedia is fairly openly hostile to authoritative sources, which is why one of the founders is attempting to start another where credentials matter more than just numbers.
Wikipedia is a great illustration of why democracy alone is terrible. 100 guys with nothing but time can easily override 10 professors and turn an entry the way they want to.
Add to that the tendency to 'freeze' contentious articles at the most opportune moments for Wikipedia's bias.
I personally think Wikipedia's mostly accurate material is worse than if it didn't exist at all. It's got enough that most people believe what they read there, which then gets cited and repeated, and inaccuracies coming from there are almost impossible to reverse. But hey, it's huge toilet, and anyone can crap right on top and join the fun.
Lost Survivor Guide was a vast improvement
Feb 8th 2007 4:29PM (AOL TV)But the lack of explanation as to how The Others went from untrackable superhunters to Keystone Cops unable to find people in a tiger trap.
The show is just plain lame. It's one good actor swirling in a toilet bowl of bad actors and worse writing. Run, Matthew Fox, before it's too late.
