Comcast offers exclusive Rainbow Six Vegas 2 map

Mar 18th 2008 7:56PM (Joystiq)
Hopefully this is the map I've been waiting for - the one where you get to open fire inside of the Comcast billing and customer service depts' offices.

Rumorang: Goldeneye coming to Xbox Live Arcade

"Not likely.
They would have to emulate the N64 engine and that is patented by Nintendo... so it won't happen ever."

Right... since there's no way to ever just port game code over to a new platform. Amazing though how the 360 is able to emulate the PS3 then though and handle all those multiplats, isn't it?

Michael Bay still pushing for Blu-ray

Oct 23rd 2007 6:37PM (Engadget HD)
I own just a Xbox360 and don't have a HDM player (yet), so I'm pretty much on the sidelines of this thing for now, but there's something that's really bothering about HD-DVD. Wasn't one of the justifications for HD-DVD that the manufacturing process would be cheaper as they could simply repurpose existing DVD manufacturing equipment without having to change the laser diodes? I totally get that this will help them get the players down to mass-market pricing first, but why are the discs the same price as Bluray if this is the case? Is the benefit then that the studios make a bigger profit off of HD-DVD sales than they would off of Bluray? I don't see the benefit to the consumer one way or the other if the media costs are the same, which is really the major cost in the long run after the player prices come down to reason.

Sean Salisbury Might Have Said Something He Shouldn't Have

Jan 24th 2007 2:06PM (Fanhouse NFL Blog)
Seems like he really did mean to say chew. I mean, it goes right along with the previous verb (crunch) and what commentator in his right mind would use "Jew" as a verb when talking football? Not only would that make no sense, but would be a blatant slur reserved for the likes of John Rocker.

What I want to know is why no uproar over the ESPN Radio announcer's comments during the World Series where he was talking about how no free agents wanted to go to Detroit in the past because of the city's negative rep but that lots of Latin players are now willing to go there because they don't mind dirty, crime-ridden cities. I guess America thinks that in 2007 its ok to insult Latinos but not Jews or Blacks.
