The Daily Grind: Should stores pull game boxes for games that are no longer for sale?

Sep 27th 2011 8:14PM (Massively)
I once did a focus group playtest at EA for the game BattleForge a few years ago, and as a reward for our time we got to pick a free game from a fairly sizable stack. One of the games was Earth & Beyond, and it had been long closed at that point. I laughed, but made sure to let them know it was a closed game that would be about as useful as a frisbee to anyone who picked it. The guy thanked me and let me take a 2nd game. I ended up taking Crysis and The Sims 2.

Final Fantasy XIII-3 gets a head start on domain-name registration

@Theneverendingsoda I see your point, but the PS1 also had Final Fantasy Tactics (not knocking it at all, my favorite game in the series, in fact.) As well as Final Fantasy Origins.

DDR-playing robot can't be a good sign

As a fan of the DDR series, the coincidence certainly isn't lost on me that there is also an artist by the name of Darwin who has done music for DDR in the past. :)

The Daily Grind: What do you think of MMO dating?

Jul 2nd 2011 5:31PM (Massively)
Over 10 years ago at the age of 13 I met a girl on Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast (I know its not an mmo, bear with me.) We quickly became close friends and ended up meeting each other in person. We were never in a romantic relationship - she doesn't feel that way about me. But it makes me believe in online-formed relationships working.

It's embarrassing to admit but I have never had a girlfriend so I am more open to the idea of an online date, whether it ends up in real life or not.

Yeah I always wished they would fix that too, but it's probably pretty complex to have a toggle for the expansion content like that. Maybe.

One Shots: Dressed to kill

Seeing Omni Entertainment sure got my nostalgia kicking. I remember many years ago that was the main spot to hang out with other players (particularly in front of the Bronto Burger stand.) I remember lots of good times there, including some awesome GM roleplaying events. I miss AO. Once that new engine comes out I am definitely getting back into it.

@MarkezJM

Ah ok, not a problem. :)

BioWare's Neverwinter Nights forums hacked, EA Account information at risk

Jun 24th 2011 7:51PM (Joystiq)
I've just thought of all these hackings as an annoyance and haven't paid much attention to it, but these days I am genuinely scared that someone is going to get access to my credit card or something equally important. I can't believe people actually view(ed?) these guys as valiant heroes.

Child of Eden on PS3 will have 'really cool' extras

@Oobgarm Yeah. Still makes me think of EGM every time I see his name, haha.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D review: From Hyrule with Love

@MarkezJM

I was putting in my 2 cents about a title with 3D elements, on a 3D console, regarding my distaste of 3D. How is this out of context?
