Sony fantards still trying to convince the world that MGSR isn't an MGS game and some PSP release is somehow the real MGS game.

I will let Kojima's own words on that:

"Metal Gear Rising will be the next-gen MGS game".

Notice even he calls it a Metal Gear Solid game and not only that is the next-generation of it. I know there is a lot of bitterness that MGS is on 360 now too but the desperate attempts to seperate this Metal Gear game from the others because you are butt hurt by the fact it's on the 360 is beyond pityful.

And yes I will be playing MGSR day one on my Xbox 360! Woooooooot!!!! I will even trade in my MGS4 PS3 copy/dust collector in order to buy it! Woooooooot!

So Sucker Punch enjoy working on the PS3 and I can appreciate that.

But Valve do not want to work on the PS3 and only support the 360 and they are evil and nasty!

Square wants to show some exclusive love to the 360 and it's all conspiracy and Square are evil and nasty!

I love the double standards from not only the gamers but from the "professionals" in this industry as well.

Yikes, that thing is ugly, not as ugly as the Halo console but damn close. Looks like they spent more time designing the box than they did on the actual console. MS showing they have zero design and artistic sense again.

I bought the Platinum Mass Effect edition and it comes with a bonus disc. On that bonus disc there is a section called "Future of Mass Effect" or something like that and they talk about Mass Effect 2. They heavily emphasized bringing all your character data over and how building on that is the core of their idea. They never stated that you couldn't just pick up from part 2 but they sure implied that if you didn't play the first one you are going to not know what the hell is going on. Lots of great tidbits in it and hints at part 2.

So this makes me think Shepard will not die since it's the character you built from the first game. Also, makes little sense to release on the PS3 when you come in half way thru the story. Yes, I know it's been done before with usually crap results. The PS3 doesn't need this and MS needs exclusives. I hate to sound greedy but EA keep this game where the first one started. I don't want to see if go thru the meatgrinder developement cycle that is the PS3.

Achievements were the first on consoles to actually mean something out side of the game. I'm just as tired of people dismissing achievements as not being the first and that is some justification that these clones(I'm looking at you trophies most of all) are OK. Yet, MS is crusified by the media for using Avatars. The double standard sucks! Avatars = Mii2 but trophies, badges, attaboys or whatever the hell you want to call them are fresh and new! NO!

You know you are giving the pirates just what they want, credit! The more you advertise and whine about pirates the more things will be pirated.

This "news" has been going on for over 2 years and Gears of War 1 was leaked as well but suddenly it's headline worthy. I'm starting to think this is becoming news because of 2 groups.

1. PC gamers who are looking for the "SEE LOOK 360 HAS PIRATES!! GIVE ME MORE GAMES!"

2. PS3 folks who want to say "SEE DEVELOPERS SHOULDNT SUPPORT THE 360 BECAUSE THEY PIRATE"

And reading these comments I can already see both those camps are here.

I don't condone stealing anything but I am so sick of people considering what has been going on FOR YEARS suddenly news.

Let me answer to each group.

PC gamers: Please don't try and compare the epidemic of PC piracy to the low numbers that are pirated on the 360. To the drama queens trying to make it sound like everyone is downloading Gears 2 need to chill. Understand that this isn't going to change anyones mind about supporting the PC or not supporting the 360. You are wasting your time if that is the result you seek.

PS3 folks: The 360 rolls the PS3 software attach rate up into a joint and smokes it! The Wii as well. Developers know that if they make a game on the 360 it sells. This is not going to change Epic's mind to release Gears on the PS3 and it's not going take any developer support away from the 360. The PS3 will be hacked just like every Sony product.

Anyway, sorry to rant just want to let those people know that are trying to slag the 360 or try and use this as an argument of why they should get more software/support are wasting their time.

More beautiful Halo CGI work only to get the game and go WTF is this last gen looking garbage.

Gonna have to pass on this if it's using the same ugly engine as Halo 3.

If you can't exceed or at least match what the GT series on Playstation has done in a sim than I am not interested. My budget can afford only 1 sim racer and looks like it will continue to be GT unfortunately because I would really like one of these racing developers to at least match them in graphics and handling.

I called this the moment I read it. I know that MS isn't that smart or that motivated to actually make it anything more than turn on your 360 and download the update. MS does very little for free for it's customers I wouldn't expect them to change now.

I'm more curious to see how much more "pay for" services are going to be added after this update.
