Child's Play shuts down fundraiser aimed at changing Mass Effect 3's ending

@The Aquacharger

You're giving an anecdote - one patient's experience doesn't mean every patient's experience would be the same.

Being in many casts can cause muscle wasting due to lack of use, but most children in hospital aren't in there for the same reason.

Children being happy and motivated during a hospital admission actually improves the outcomes and causes shorter admissions because they feel better quicker, and those who have to stay in a long time will be given something to occupy their time.

It would be the responsibility of the nursing and physiotherapy staff to decide which children would benefit from being allowed to have video games, and which wouldn't. The majority would benefit from the distraction.

Your rehab at home should have had some time playing video games, but then also some time doing exercises. You were allowed to go to the extreme of just playing video games, and no movements at all.

Mothers Day + St Patricks + finding out you've passed the final exam needed to become a doctor = probably not much free time to actually game.

If I do game - same thing I do every weekend - try to finish Zelda. Getting there, just very slowly.

Still trundling through Skyward Sword. My progress pace is slow due to lack of time, but I reckon about 6 hours left til I reach the end.

Also some Pullblox (Pushmo) and Layton to play.

My bookshelf is also piling up so need to finish the book I'm currently going through.

@Ron Burgundy

They still exist, but on one of the higher tiers only available through the Double Fine website itself.

$20,000 to be precise. Better hope you bowl a good game that day.

I still have the 10 GBA ambassador games to play. It'll take a while. As well as Mario Kart 7 and OoT to buy.

Keep imagining Cave Johnson when I read those quotes. This really does sound like an Aperture idea.
