(I'm actually kind of surprised that Orks and Chaos don't get along better, really. You'd think Khorne would LOVE the greenskins.)

Oct 11th 2011 5:42PM (Joystiq)You can only go so far with "quasi-realistic Renaissance city optimized for parkour". I'm not saying the level design is as good as it's going to get, but spending too many man-hours on improving it would be a waste of dev resources at this point.

The beta and Battlefield 3
Oct 10th 2011 8:59PM (Joystiq)"You may very well have saved my purchase of this game."
Same here. I was thoroughly unimpressed with the beta (although DICE betas, with the possible exception of BC2, are always pretty awful), but knowing that there are major balance changes and bugfixes (a number of which actually relate to issues I had with the game, which is a rarity with DICE games) brings a bit of hope back.
Now, the only decision is whether to get the version for my barely-working PC (CTDs, bluescreens, and Punkbuster kicks, oh my!) or the crippled version for my PS3 (what do you mean no 64-player). And either way I'll have to deal with my shitty Internet connection.
...okay, I'll stop whining now.
