Wow. This is terrible news. Paperboy, Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Rebel Assault were some of my favorite games from my childhood.

I lost a family member to cancer about 8 years ago, so I can guess how much pain his family must be feeling.

I really enjoyed this video. If handled correctly (which I have no doubt id will), this could be a huge revolution in the way games are programed, and made available to just about any platform that can handle the specs

Carmack has never been wrong before (to my knowledge), and I have no problem following him now. He is the Stephen Hawking of the programing world.

My favorite scene, minus the first fight at the bottleneck canyon, would be the dialogue between Leonidas and his Queen, as he leaves:

Queen Gorgo: Spartan!
Spartan King Leonidas: Yes, my lady?
Queen Gorgo: Come back with your shield, or on it.

SOOO bad ass, and even though she would probably break me in half, makes Queen Gorgo even hotter

Anyone else think they had a little bit of Rancor envy while making this game?

I REALLY want to believe this is real. Duke Nukem 3D was one of my favorite games back in the day, and the first episode still is a good time waster.

Please 3D realms. Finish the game. Hell, put it on the marketplace if need be. Just release it.
