Yeah like Zack & Wiki that panned out well for them.

Rise, my apprentice: GameStop names new CEO

Aug 29th 2008 6:14PM (Joystiq)
I just came from a gamestop. Every time I walk out the door I instantly start to question what on earth ever made me walk in there in the first place.

Their modems are always down. I don't know how many times I had to swipe my card cause they didn't know how to remedy the problem, of course shortly after I had to show him my ID and Card, verifying I was me. That didn't set me off as much as when after the modem FINALLY came back on line, and after I signed.

The guy would not accept my signature. Say what? He tried to remake me sign so I did again the same exact way then all hell broke loose. He tried to act like I was somehow trying to pull a fast one. Say wha? You just saw my card with my name and my Drivers License with my name and Picture and signature. So what's the hold up? After he lost his fight he wouldn't look at me and basically dropped the controller and battery pack I just bought on the counter hard.

Of course the whole time the modem failed to initialize and we had to "wait" he bombarded me with would you like to pre-order (insert name of game) Modem failed again and like some macabre scene. Would you like to pre-order (insert name of a different game)

I was really frustrated when I walked out. And this sums up my usual experience with them.

SingStar firmware upgrade will allow PS2 disc swapping [Update]

Aug 20th 2008 6:06PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Well that didn't take long. Sony giveth Sony taketh away.

Why can't they just upload all the songs to the singstore and let you download them if you have the disk. That would be fine by me.

Well when are we gonna get the wireless mics? Can we at least nail down a date for that?

Rumor: Dead Rising coming to Wii

Jul 16th 2008 2:04PM (Joystiq)
With only 30 zombies on screen at a time It's gonna take forever to unlock the real megabuster.

I don't know how your supposed to fight/survive lead people back to safe room and take photos all with the wii-mote.

I also want a sequel.

First crop of Neo Geo games for Virtual Console announced

Sep 13th 2007 12:13PM (Joystiq)
Well I just hope they release all those Neo Geo Anthology disks over here on PS2. That's the way to go IMHO.

15-20 bucks for arcade perfect Neo Geo Translations of a series. Fatal Fury, Real Bout, Mark of the Wolves. Samurai Showdown, World Heroes. King of Fighters, Etc.

They already released Metal Slug and Art of Fighting.

It's just great to have em all if not most of em all on one disk.

Now if Capcom will just release that Dark Stalkers Collection over here.

Harmonix CEO confirms Rock Band's Xbox 360 bundle guitar is wired

Sep 8th 2007 1:21PM (Joystiq)
Why not make 2 bundles. One wired and one wireless for the 360.

It's gonna cost the consumer more than 20 bucks to get the wireless one anyway. And that way your not stuck with a guitar you don't want.

Unless the previous guitars don't work with this game.

Harmonix CEO confirms Rock Band's Xbox 360 bundle guitar is wired

Sep 8th 2007 1:18PM (Joystiq)
So why can't they make 2 bundles? One with the wireless and one with a wire.

I fail to see how they have the customers best interest at heart when it cost more than 20 bucks to get a wireless controller so essentially it costs more this way than it would to just bundle it in the first place.

Dragon's Lair may foil your Blu-ray player

Apr 11th 2007 8:22PM (Joystiq)
So why can't they just put any major update needed on a disk. Or make it burnable to a CD-R.

You know download it burn it and then put it in your player. Run the update. Problem solved. No need for the Ethernet port.
