This Wednesday: Military Madness and Football Genius Bust-a-Move onto XBLA

Sep 28th 2009 3:59PM (Joystiq)
Looks like Military Madness is going to suck away hours upon hours of my life... again!!!

Hands-on: Trials HD (XBLA)

How is Excitebike not mentioned once in this post?

Hands-on: Gears of War 2 Dark Corners 'Nowhere'

Jun 10th 2009 8:39PM (Joystiq)
If only they would offer the option to choose Wingman on these DLC maps.... I rarely play other modes, and the only DLC maps that ever come up (and rarely at that) are the Flashback ones.

Overheard@E3: Booth babes 'still allowed to have big boobs'

The Gamecube version already supports widescreen, wavebird, and progressive scan.

Terminator Salvation video has gameplay

Apr 20th 2009 10:14PM (Joystiq)
Yeah, what's up with that? I'd understand if they were using
futuristic lasers or something, but those looked and sounded like
bullet-spewing machine guns. I'd almost prefer a game in which there
are few terminators that are just d@mn near indestructable, and you
spend the whole game figuring out how to take them down while being
constantly hunted. You know.... like the movies.

Besides that, the game looks pretty cool though.

Star Wars: The Old Republic video needs more fighting

"Books, are one of the reasons games were created, as a way to bring visualization to the stories of them"

Right.... I forgot about the epic story that gave birth to Pong. I think you have this backwards. Stories were written for games to give people motivation to move a random blip around a screen, shooting at or avoiding other random blips.

And you're honestly going to claim that after reading ALL the Star Wars novels you are unbiased towards them? It sounds more to me like you're throwing a temper tantrum because someone dared to question your passion.

Charts galore: Halo 3, Halo Wars player comparisons; other RTS titles get in mix

Agreed. Forge was an absolute tool.

Star Wars: The Old Republic video needs more fighting

Before you go calling the kettle black:

"None of the star wars books are boring, you idiot.

Justin you've gone way too far this time... you usually are borderline stupid and ignorant, but now your immaturity has hit new levels..."

Now, who's being "more biased and hateful than intelligent and opinionated"?

Gears 2 update to address several issues, planned for January

Jan 6th 2009 8:56PM (Joystiq)
Wow. Seems like this game isn't working for a lot of people. I don't see what the issue is. I got it about a week after it came out. The only problem I had was the extremely long team-searching time when playing with 3 or 4 buddies. Since they released the first patch, the wait times have become neglible for me. A minute, tops. Usually about 15-20 seconds.

I feel like the gameplay, maps, and weapons are very well-balanced. I use a wide variety of weapons when I play, and have done well with each of them. Granted, I prefer the shotgun in close encounters, but hitting people with mortars or sticking them with the torque bow from afar is pretty satisfying.

Also love the frag 'nades. I haven't been this satisfied using proxy mines since Goldeneye.
