Microsoft's 4GB / 8GB flash-based Zunes revealed by FCC

I thought we just read that these were supposed to have storage capacity that exceeded the competition? 4 and 8GB is par for the course... how unexciting.

Multi-touch interfaces make me happy down there. 'Nuff said.

Ikaruga bound for Xbox Live Arcade

This is fantastic news. The XBLA keeps straddling the fence on whether I want to look at it as a failure or as success. Ridiculously priced retro titles make me bleh ... but then re-releasing rare games like this and Symphony, that is the most noble of actions.

Sony drops the price of the PS3 in Japan only ... so far anyways ...

Microsoft returns my $95 repair fee, and gives me a free warranty until Aug. 21, 2007, one year from the date of my repair.

Umm, someone wins ... someone SO wins. Guess who?

This dude wins a free copy of Dead Rising? Is that not the single, sweetest bit of irony you've ever heard?

I think I'd limit the amount I'd spend on this title to 1200 Points, unless of course I was shown that it was worth specifically more than that. From what I've seen so far the game looks to be really, really promising; but it could be incredible if you guys take the extra steps to make it so.

1. Really go out there on the level design. This first level looks to be some pretty standard first level fare (The second half being almost *too* green.), but making vibrant and creative levels could make this game a must buy. Think Kirby's Canvas Curse.
2. Increasing levels should mean more than a little extra damage on attacks. A little size increase (ala Gauntlet) or an extra attack (or a combo attack) go a long way to adding elements to gameplay. Not necessarily every level, but possibly every 5 or so.
3. More varied enemy types please! I imagine this is but a small sample of the games enemy types, but in this entire video there are only two, and the boss. Smacking around the same little brown dudes could get tiring. Palette swaps are your friend!
4. Hidden stuff. Hidden stuff makes every game in the world more enjoyable. A hidden mount, a hidden weapon, a hidden boss cameo (Pirate baby!!!), sneak some Alien Hominid action in there, ***items to change characters into hulking Behemoths themselves***(very cool idea). Anything hidden and players will keep coming back to discover secrets.

That's really all the advice I have. I hope this game is everything I'm wishing it to become, and please deliver some Pirate Baby someday.
