Hey Dominic, you know about the 'super drop back' glitch that has been a tradition for Madden football?? That's hilarious yet people who play Madden say it's sooooo realistic.
What a joke.
I see why EA bought the NFL. It's easy to pay to be lazy then to work to be the best.
Yeeeyyyyyy This is good news (even though i knew about it a year and a half ago) The smart people will appreciate 2k's return because smart people understand that EA is simply an icon for every potential business owner- sacrifice minimal investment for a huge return. That's EA's motto. It's obvious in their games, just look at basketball. NBA Live smells like crap from the moment you buy it and the look and gameplay matches the smell when you play it. Can you imagine the disgust we would have if they owned exclusive rights to the NBA??!!! Madden is a marketing machine. Madden is considered 'cool and hip' If you play Madden then you are in the 'know' YOU must know something about football if you play Madden. This is why EA had to protect Madden from 2K Football. EA had to protect Madden's rep. Honest people know, when they actually gave 2k football a try they were amazed, impressed, and became a 2k fan. Madden will always be the godfather of videogame football but EA constantly reminds us that they are not about maximum effort when it comes to making Madden. They prefer to go the cheap rout. For example: How can you possible make Madden 07 for the Xbox 360 with a 30fps frame rate??? 30fps??? When on the PS2 and Xbox it's running at a silky smooth 60 frames per second (this is the rate all sports games should run)Don't use the excuse that it's a new system because 2k Basketball on the Xbox 360 is running at 60fps. Another example- How can you take out the announcers?? Why is there only 'gang tackling' on the PS2 and Xbox?? Why are their servers piss poor?? Why is Marshall Faulk on the Rams?? This is what happens when you own the NFL. You can make anything and force it down the customers throat.
I am close friends with the people at Visual Concepts and they listen to their fanbase. If you have a gripe or an innovation they will listen. I call them all the time and have seen some of my request actually put in the game. They are a dedicated group who has yours and my concerns a priority.
So for you Madden fans, keep playing a game that features 25 yard drop backs by the QB followed by and 80 yeard bomb that is always caught. Keep enjoying games that feature over a 100 total points scored and defense is an afterthought. Keep enjoying a game where playing DB means you must have done something wrong in another life. And most of all keep enjoying taking it from behind from EA, a company that has lost the quest for innovation and let it's marketing machine take precedence over making a full fledged state of the art video football game.
Man o man. It's amazing how people are really sheep that will just follow anything they hear. 1080p is the biggest marketing ploy ever and stupid people are falling for it. Honestly, if you put 2 monitors side by side, one being 720p and the other 1080p, you CAN'T tell the difference!!!!! Damn, just go to your local Best Buy and see for yourself. These people who say they have 1080p are people who had the money (good for them) and fell for the '1080p marketing campaign'. Go to videophile websites and the experts will tell- the difference between 720p and 1080p is NEGLIGABLE. The entertainment industry agreed that 720p is the 'sweetspot' for High Def viewing. Other companies, such as Sony, did not 'agree' (because they were already deep in R&D for BD) Sony's main concern is to push Blu Ray into peoples home via the PS3, plain and simple. Sony as a company is in big trouble finacially (yes they are) and they are trying to recapture the electronics market with Blu Ray. 1080p is a joke and forcing people to watch in 1080i is a joke. An interlaced picture will never look better then a progressive image. Interlaced is good for still images such as photos but a moving image, such as movies, will always look better then interlaced. 720p kills 1080i. Sony even forces you to go and buy an HDMI cable, it's not included with the PS3. Amazing!!!!
Sony is in big trouble, not only because of the price but also because of their lies. 1080p is the biggest marketing ploy of them all. Notice how their games are coming in at 720p? Unless, of course, the game is a simple game such as tennis. What Grand Turismo will not be in 1080p??!! Of course it won't and if you thought it was you fell for the lies. So to answer the question- NO!!! Sony is a greedy, desperate company who relies on lies to sell there products. What arrogance.
I have predicted the PS3's demise for over a year now and all of my predictions are coming true. I work in the video game industry, here in Los Angeles, so i have some experience to back up what i say. One of my major predictions centered around third party developers. Third party developers are in business to make money, they are not fans of any particular system. The problem with the PS3 is that everyone is already screaming that it needs as least 1 year to catch up to the 360 and then you will see beautiful graphics, etc. Well ask yourself, do you think those third party developers will wait for one year? If you answered yes you are a Sony fan boy and are highly mistaken. Case in point- Virtual Fighter 5. VF5 was originally announced as a PS3 exclusive but a couple of weeks ago Sega announced it would be available for the 360 (i wonder why?) Recently there is a rumor that Tekken 6 will be made for the 360 (that would be a major blow to Sony) and now the guy who created MGS4 ( i forget his name) has announced that MSG4 could be created an the 360 when initially he said only on the PS3 could MGS4 be created (i wonder why?)
Sony has made an incredible blunder with the PS3 in that its really a glorified Blu Rey player. Sony's real push is to install a gigantic Blu Rey user base through the sales of PS3's. Ironically, the very thing that delayed the release of the PS3 (Blu Rey) and gave Microsoft a year's headstart, is going to kill it.
In the end it's all about what system has the games and if the law of business holds true (make money now, not later) Sony will lose it's major titles to the 360. After that, all that's left on a PS3 is Blu Rey.
I beleive that a somewhat intelligent black person will understand what DC is trying to say, whithout cutting his own throat, White people will just label him as crazy. What DC is suffering from is not a 'mental condition' it's just his responsibility as a black man, plain and simple. His jokes are based on racism and his use of the 'N' word is prolific. His conscience is getting the best of him, which says a lot about him as a man and not a money hungry pig (like most of us). Being black in this country is not easy and White people will never understand nor do they try and understand. Dave knows his 'jokes' can be taken the wrong way and have an effect on society (black and white people) that he would be responsible for. I knew that was the problem when he first left his show, my speculations have now been confirmed. It just shows you that White America looks at Black people in a whole different light then they do themselves. There is a lot of bad history that us Black people have not forgotten about when it comes to white people and even though DC comedy plays on this it basically can 'stur the pot' and the end result can be somewhat misinterpreted. He seems to be a cool guy to have enough care about African American struggles in this country, struggles that he makes fun of for money, that he owes some type of responsibilty to make sure those struggles are not prostituted for money.
