Nielsen: Wii audience is youngest, PS3 audience is oldest
Feb 19th 2009 4:51PM (Joystiq)There's your quote bro. Yeah, not as bad as I made it out to be, sorry bout that. However, while I don't like it when Sony fanboys run around going 'oh this is our year', to say that they haven't had a good year last year or act as though 'it hasn't been getting much better' would be to ignore last year entirely. And there's a lot more than God of War III hitting this year. By comparison, the 360's exclusive list is looking pretty weak right now.
"If you clicked the link the player i linked is a very good player with solid features. A shoddy menu? Who cares, if the player does that it needs to do and provides great sound and amazing picture why pay hundreds of dollars more for a menu?"
It's also $200, not $99. Check the link again bro. Anywhos, the kind of person interested in getting a blu-ray player would no doubt at least be intrigued by the media center functionality available in the PS3.

Feb 19th 2009 4:37PM (Joystiq)Ignoring this tech stuff, that's not my area of expertise.
"If you looked a little further into the amazon link you'd see you can get the player for $150 dollars, which is a hell of alot less then a ps3. You stop being lazy and take a few minutes to search and you'll find a very solid player for around $100 dollars. There's drives for the PC now for well under $100 but that's another subject. The blu-ray excuse is not a reason to buy a ps3. If you want a blu-ray player and want a ps3 as well i can see it being a good purches. However, to buy a ps3 strictly for the blu-ray is simply retarded. I don't know about you but i buy consoles for Games first, features second, Period."
Insight took care of that, you get what you pay for, as far as inexpensive blu ray players go.
"Yes, the ps3's a powerful piece of hardware but we always go back to the last generation when the Xbox was the more powerful but not better console. Power doesn't = better, take a look at the Wii to prove that 'fact'."
Uh, bro, don't you mean 'Power doesn't = more sales'? Because I'd agree with that. However, I don't understand how you could claim that the PS3 is gameless and then claim that the Wii is 'better'.

Feb 17th 2009 10:07PM (Joystiq)With that said, there's no way in hell it deserves a spot above Persona 4. It's the only KH game I've played that wasn't entirely mindnumbingly repetitive (that says a lot since it's a remake of the most repetitive KH game), but even that doesn't much help it.
Wii sales propel Call of Duty: World at War past COD4
Feb 17th 2009 7:14PM (Joystiq)You'd have to be stupid to choose the Wii version over the other two versions. It's just plain gimped - the other two versions are feature filled. After playing them, even with anaolg controls, ya don't want to go back.

Feb 17th 2009 6:58PM (Joystiq)Saying 'oh a game could have been more had they delayed the game and released the DLC on the disk' isn't smart, because it's judging a game not based on what it is and how it stands up to other games but what you think it should be and how your idea of the game stands up to how the game really is.
Plus, there are more good examples of DLC than bad ones. One of my friends and I were having this discussion a few days ago (he agreed with you) and he brought up Burnout Paradise as evidence for his side. I wanted to burn his consoles for saying that.

Feb 14th 2009 4:52PM (Joystiq)This is a single one of Sony's stores.
They have dozens, maybe hundreds, more around the world.
Microsoft is now opening their first M branded store.
Think about what you're saying before you say it - Sony is hardly 'doomed'. Maybe if you'd do a little research before hand you'd stick your foot in your mouth before claiming your idiotic fanboy drivel as 'fact'.
