Sep 2nd 2009 9:59AM (WoW)The maximum RAM capacity on 32-bit systems is 4GB; if you hit this maximum, then 2GB of it is dedicated to system (kernel) processes. Retail games have been colliding with this 'glass ceiling' for years now (Command & Conquer springs to mind as an example, as well as the infamous Crysis), and it's inevitably going to become a more frequent problem as graphics improve.
Enabling LAA would give WoW 4GB of RAM to play around with on 64-bit systems. Double the current standard. And (barring a little debugging) it only takes one extra line of code being added to Wow-dot-exe. Graphics purists will always demand things like native 64-bit applications and DirectX-whatever compatability, but this seems like a fairly reasonable (and future-thinkingly useful) addition in comparison.

Aug 16th 2009 9:30AM (WoW)The average time between articles appearing is an hour and a half; it may be less than an hour if there's breaking news, or well over 2 hours if it's a slow day (eg. during Blizzcon's morning hours). There's a 12-hour gap on most nights, starting in the evening and continuing to the next morning.
AA and WoW Moviewatch are oddities in that their content is viewable well before the articles are due to be posted (you can't write the article and post it if the content isn't already on the server). Being able to see this picture 9 hours ahead of schedule probably means it was posted late at night, in the site's quiet period.

UPDATE: Fields of Honor Loot Card EU giveaway
Jul 1st 2009 9:43AM (WoW)I've been apprehensive about starting a Trading Card collection since nobody I know on (or off) WoW actually plays it, but the artwork is so brilliant (a friend gave me an A4 Art card pack as a gift) and the loot so enticing that I've decided to track down a binder and storage sleeves, that I may store the cards and treasure them alongside my POGs (the only IRL 'collectables' I've ever owned a full set of; I even remember sneaking out of school to a promotional event to snag the last two).
To be granted a loot code before I even start collecting would be a fantastic stroke of luck. My sights of mine are set on Sir Large Chicken, but leaving flowers in my wake sounds just as special. It's up to the RNG in the end, though. Here's hoping that, for once, it doesn't hate me.

Jun 21st 2009 8:09AM (WoW)Otherwise, I'd have to go with Yojimba Isle. Friendly trolls abound (for once), it's secluded enough to not be overcrowded, and it's easily the best spot to compete in the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza; in the weeks where I lost, I never had less than 30 fish.
