There is a NES version of the last Ninja.

Wii Warm Up: The Club

Dec 18th 2008 12:16PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I did like N4NOT3CH says and e-mailed them my list of VC and WiiWare games (52 games total, only 3 of which appeared in my game list when I originally managed to log in to the Club Nintendo website - after much, much trouble) and was waiting for a reply when I decided to take a closer look at the FAQ and lost a good chunk of my optimistic nature when I came upon the following statement: "only select Wii, Wii Shop Channel games, Wii Channels, and Nintendo DS games will qualify for surveys. See the list of games that can be registered and qualify for surveys below" and realized after reading the list that the 3 games that appeared in my Club Nintendo profile were the only 3 that I purchased and that were on the list.
For the whole list, go to http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/club/en/faq.jsp and click on "Product Registration".

Wii Warm Up: Flipping out

Aug 29th 2008 12:18AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Revenge of the Gator is a terrific game. With Kirby's Pinball Land, they're probably two of the games I've played the most (after Link's Awakening) on my Game Boy.
Other than that, I love the Williams Collection and have played quite a bit the two "Crushes" on the VC.
Roll on Jaki Crush, Alien Crush Returns and more collections.
And if Nintendo ever adds the Game Boy to the VC console lineup, roll on Revenge of the Gator and Kirby's Pinball Land!

VC Monday Madness: SPLATTERHOUSE 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog

Aug 5th 2008 1:16PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Glad to have you back, David.
However, if we follow your reasoning, why download the first Sonic on Genesis when, for the same price (and IMHO), the second one is so much better?
The fact is that the Master System game is completely different from the Genesis one and stands on its own as an excellent and (somewhat) challenging game (especially if you go after the 6 emeralds).
For 500 points, it should be a blind buy for any Sonic fan.
And as for the Genesis version, why not do like me and buy the Game Cube version of the Sonic Mega Collection (over 50 used or new available for prices ranging from $4.20 to $22.99 + shipping on Amazon alone)?
That's up to 12 (including 5 unlockable) games for a price that is definitely right (and then, buy the Sonic Gem Collection for 11 more Sonic games that you won't have to wait for the release of on the VC - this last sentence sounds poorly constructed, but I think you'll get the gist of it).

All of Nintendo Wii Fanboy's guesses seem to be confirmed by ZappDeals at http://www.zappdeals.com/
I was also hoping for Mario Kart Wii. Oh, well...

Super Mario RPG alive and well!

It is a terrific game.
Paper Mario is a terrific game.
My solution: buy both (and buy The Thousand Year Door for Game Cube)!

Japan's Legendary Virtual Console

In reply to Mr.Esc's post:
I won't presume to answer in racecar's name, but could it possibly be because Sega Genesis Collection is a PlayStation 2 game?

Amazon's Wii Gold Box deals return!

Apr 11th 2008 1:12PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I stand corrected: the 6 AM deal did not sell out (28% claimed) within 4 hours.
What? No hunters playing Wii?

Amazon's Wii Gold Box deals return!

8 minutes and only 10% claimed. That has to be some sort of record (then again, Mario & Sonic is still available after more than 10 hours!)!
