Wii Fit US release scheduled for Q2 2008
Jan 20th 2008 7:03PM (Joystiq)The board is incredibly sturdy, I don't see how anyone could break it by accident - minus the extreme cases, of course.
It's a lot of fun and you do get a fairly genuine workout out of it.
My wife challenged me to use it for 20 minutes every day for 3 months to see what kind of impact it may or may not have. I'll be blogging about it at http://wiifatty.com in the coming week.

Are some topics off-limits for "serious" games?
Dec 4th 2006 9:34PM (Joystiq)> Covenant in Halo 2?
Where the funk did you leave your brain? You honestly don't see a difference between playing as a nazi soldier, whom actively participate in and advanced the darkest moment in human history, versus playing as a make-believe monster in a sci-fi video game?
Is your sense of reality that warped?
I don't think a game like that could be made, there would be no market for it. How do you justify a game like that morally? How would you even begin to provide a moral context?
As much as I love WWII shooters, I do have a bit of a moral qualm playing them, even as an American soldier aka a Good Guy(tm). I think FPS trivialize the war experience and, because of the abstraction of the consoles or PC's graphics, rob the experience of any anchoring in reality. An example of this is the poster's comments above where the relativism of playing a real historical prototype involved in massive human atrocities versus characters in a science fiction video game have escaped their understanding.

brian, if you want push, go with the blackberry 8700. I was a long time treo fan, 600 to 700, but the 8700 totally decimates it. I also think it's easier to carry around than the treo too, no more attenae in the nuts (I usually carried the treo in the front pocket of my jeans).
The only thing I'm missing from the treo is KeyCaps.
Another blurry Treo "Hollywood" shot, plus specs?
Jul 13th 2006 12:10AM (Engadget)Try playing with the MotoQ for awhile.
I'll take my blackberry 8700 over windows mobile any day of the week.
