@JoeH42 Keep in mind it's a level 9ish instance, so not enforcing the T/H setup before people have chosen their Advanced class makes a ton of sense. I think it works as a low risk, high reward social event that people get to experience the first time they leave their starter world. Introduces grouping and instancing to people without heavy strategy and skill requirements.
@jealouspirate It wasn't "watching two Jedi kill a bunch of innocents just because it`s convenient." - The player was given a choice; kill the engineers to save the crew on the bridge, or save the engineers by taking the alternative route, which ultimately leads to the death of the bridge crew.
Convenience doesn't come into it really.
Bioware loves to put these "impossible" moral choices in their games (have you play mass effect?).
SWTOR will be littered with these kind of scenarios.
"How many Jedi players in this game will actually act like a Jedi?"
I think the distinction is this; you'll be a Jedi, you're ultimately a force for good... but are you the kind that will do terrible things for the greater good , or the kind with an unwavering moral code who adheres to the teachings wholesale.
I think this may be a little short sighted tbh Erica. For many developers this is a positive move, but there are many, many developers that make their living from great Mac applications that make use of private APIs, or violate the guidelines in some way. They must be nervous about this.
As the Appstore ecosystem becomes more embraced by users, 'traditional' means of distributing software become less important. Why would a typical user bother to google for "Applications of type X" when they have a store on their desktop?
It's not a problem for iOS because you don't miss what you never had; it was restricted from day one.
On the whole positive, but there are interesting times a head...
I'm not sure if this means anything either, but the windows installer for iTunes 5 also includes and installs QuickTime 7 - the previous installers did not.
I'm really disappointed about this, I was looking forward to my first SJ keynote :-).
I was hoping to get more information about Leopard and the Intel transistion and how it effects consumers. I think there's a lot of stuff SJ could talk about, regardless of new product announcements.
Also, why the event on the 7th? - couldn't that have waited until Paris?

The films had plenty of this.
