Rumor: XBLA Exit sequel dropping Q1 2009, first screenshots surface

Feb 13th 2009 4:35PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Having bought the first one I can honestly say that it offered more puzzles than anyone should have ever needed.

Hands-on with Prototype: being a super-powered badass

Feb 6th 2009 11:58AM (Joystiq)
This game could still go either way for me, I certainly hope the extra development time was put to good use but from what I have seen of the game it looks very shallow and gory which is simply not enough game for me.

Halo Wars trailer advises us to 'command the forces'

Yeah, I'm having a lot of fun playing as the Covenant, the fully upgraded glassing beam or whatever it is really called is just awesome!

Ask Joystiq Xbox: Frozen edition

Feb 3rd 2009 6:29PM (Joystiq Xbox)
I just wanted to throw my voice in and say that I think the comments made by Richard were fair. Perhaps I am biased, what with my being on my 5th 360, but the hardware issues that the 360 has had should not be downplayed.

Too many people are jumping on the "xbox.joystiq.com hate" bandwagon because things are different. I am not saying that there are not legitimate complaints or concerns with the sites slightly altered direction but let's not kid ourselves into thinking that the recent site changes have really changed things all that much.

Ask Joystiq Xbox: Frozen edition

Feb 3rd 2009 6:17PM (Joystiq Xbox)
I agree Mauricio, Joystiq Xbox is just too cumbersome and awkward for me. I'm not a huge fan of the change from xbox360fanboy.com to the new set up but even at that I would rather "Ask Joystiq" over "Ask Joystiq Xbox". That's just my two cents, and I'm sure the community appreciates the help either way.

Ask Joystiq Xbox, really? What was wrong with X3F? I thought you were keeping X3F.

I hate business.

Joyswag: Win one of five 'Halo Wars' demo codes

Feb 2nd 2009 2:28PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Halo Wars is the first game to make playing an RTS game on a console as enjoyable as one could imagine it would be on a PC. With gorgeous pre-rendered cinematics that tell the story of the fall of Harvest and the fates of the majority of the participants of the Spartan-II program Halo Wars is not only a successful RTS game but manages to make make a meaningful contribution to the Halo universe. The experience of the team that toiled away at cracking the console RTS nut is felt throughout each mission and respect for the source is lovingly delivered with each cutscene. Halo Wars is a defining game for RTS and one that the staff of the soon-to-be-closed Ensemble Studios can look on as the culmination of all their experience and hard work.

Now we wait and see if it can live up to that! -Intangible 360

Joker brings the funnies in latest Arkham Asylum trailer

Jan 30th 2009 2:12PM (Joystiq)
This is the first video I've seen that really has me interested in this game, I can't wait to see more.

Pachter: Xbox 360 a 'gold mine' for Netflix growth

Jan 27th 2009 7:49PM (Joystiq)
I too wish Netflix would expand into Canada, the recession will likely scare them from doing so for another couple years though.
