Rock Band Blitz announced for PSN/XBLA, can access existing Rock Band DLC

@AntsPai They addressed that as well. Any songs that play in Rock Band 3 should also work in this game. That's 3,500+ tracks right now.

@AntsPai They already said the tracks would work with RB3. Besides, just by being an XBLA/PSN game it's already tied to your account. No key should be needed.

PlayStation 3 gets Amazon Instant Video ... kinda out of nowhere

Apr 3rd 2012 1:53PM (Joystiq)
@Shadowbender Unlike a lot of subscription services across various mediums, Amazon Prime's library can be browsed even if you're not a subscriber.

There's a lot of overlap with quality content, and Amazon does have a few things that Netflix doesn't, but in my experience Netflix has a lot more to offer. Well, at least in terms of movies and TV shows that I like.

Even if you don't subscribe there's also a lot of paid content. They have sales often and streaming rentals of new releases even go on sale.

Anomaly: Warzone Earth comes to the warzone of XBLA April 6

I really like this game. I have it both on Steam and Android so I probably won't be picking it up a third time. And for the record I think the touch controls are the way to go, even though it doesn't look as nice. Of course I haven't tried it with a controller yet.

PSA: Angry Birds Space blasts off

@(Unverified) You are so right. I've been playing games since my dad brought home an Intellivision when I was 4 or 5. I've played just about every game genre out there from text adventures to flight sims with 6" thick manuals and keyboard overlays. I spent my teen years in Quake clans and have put probably tens of thousands of hours of my life into shooting dudes from around the globe in the face. I can also walk you through the first Monkey Island with my eyes closed and tell you about Loom.

That said, the first thing I did this morning was pick up my tablet from my bedside table and install Angry Birds Space. It's a fun game. I've been into the gameplay since I stumbled across the Castle Clout flash game and this seems like a nice new twist on the formula.

People who worry about the hardcore probably just need more games to occupy their time. I have no idea what it even means. Maybe you're right and the hardcore gamer is someone who makes up that vocal minority that like to complain about games. I'm too busy having fun to get worked up over artistic choices that weren't the ones that I wanted and whether or not a game is too casual for the idea of myself that's in my head.

I love these. Keep them coming.

Angry Birds Space trailer hits before tomorrow's launch

It's a mobile game. There's no need to call in sick. You play at your desk if you work in an office, claim migraine to sit in a dark room in the nurse's office if you're in school, or endanger every other person on the road if you drive a truck.

Saint's Row: The Third gives everyone CheapyD for free

@(Unverified) I also have the OnLive version of the game. I asked the Saints Row twitter account within seconds of their retweet of CheapyD announcing the news and they haven't responded.

@Notme2 My save has something like 30 hours on it and I still have a bunch of side stuff to do. Sure, I remember putting more like 50 into GTA games but I also remember a lack of checkpoints and pacing issues. SR3 is the tightest, and possibly best, overall sandbox game experience that I've ever had.

I have a stack of other games that I want to get to. I'm perfectly happy having that really great 30 hours, which is pretty damn long, than suffer through some stuff that I don't like to wring out a few more hours.

@milespieri What's the problem? It's still got an exclusive price on PSN.
