I've been meaning to hook up with other joystiqers online, this seems as good a time as any. i have a good group of friends I play with regularly who will be all over this game too, so if you need a few extra players to fill some slots, gimme a friend request. See you on the battlefield

Activision threatens to drop Sony if Sony doesn't drop PS3 and PSP prices
Jun 19th 2009 10:45AM (Engadget)Remember the death of HD-DVD? All the major movie publishers pulled out of the format after Warner did. The waterfall effect caused the format to die.
In terms of video games, I could honestly see third party game developers following Activision/Blizzard out the door. Granted, Activision is only threatening at this point, but even the threat itself is horrible press for Sony, and Sony really needs good press right now (which it isn't getting).
This is worse than losing third party exclusivity (aka final fantasy, Metal Gear, GTA). If this threat actually has weight behind it, I fear the end is nigh for the PS brand.
Also, dreamcast owners, does any of this sound familiar to you? It's happening again...

iPhone 3GS announced: $199 16GB, $299 32GB, June 19th
Jun 8th 2009 4:05PM (Engadget)The bottom line is that other manufacturers, for the nearly same price, are putting better hardware together. and most of the time they are almost identical in form factor to that of the iphone.
Zak, stop trying to protect apple from the undeniable fact that they are skimping on things like this just because they know they will sell a large amount of phones anyway. just because its an 'upgrade' doesn't mean its a good upgrade.
One step forward, two steps back. Still not multitasking. Late with features like cut and paste, MMS, and video camera capabilities.
I'm not really an apple fan, although I'll be the first to concede to their ingenuity. However, today I'm really not seeing much here that apple fans can shout about to convince me that this wasnt kind of a lame upgrade.
