A trio of Sega Genesis titles confirmed for VC

Mar 23rd 2007 7:14PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
WHY do they keep doing things like this on the VC?? They should be giving us the arcade or Saturn version of VF2, and the Sega Master System versions of the other two. What's the deal?!

Wiicade opens up remote buttons for Flash games

Feb 28th 2007 5:41PM (Joystiq)
Um... You already could play Flow, it's already entirely mouse based, this is about finally being able to make non-mouse based Flash games.

Sweden to open virtual embassy in Second Life

This is officially the first story that is OLD'D to me thanks to the Wii News Channel. ^_^

Fan cooks up Wii Star Wars simulation

Jan 31st 2007 2:00AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
He shouldn't have used that footage, pushing junk and making shockwaves is far from the reason everyone wants a Wii Star Wars game, everyone just wants to swing a dang LIGHTSABER!

Well then, I'm sold on the idea.

Game violence stimulates 'textspeak,' concludes study of 12

Jan 9th 2007 8:12PM (Joystiq)
I really hope very soon the entire scientific community will disprove the validity of all of these "a study"s. they all ignore simple social logic, such as the possibility that many "textspeakers" happen to be players of certain types of games.

OCD Spotlight: Flossing your Mighty Mouse

Dec 12th 2006 9:34PM (TUAW.com)
90% of the time for me it seems the ball itself is causing no problems, but rather gunk carried by the ball jamming up the tiny rollers that detect the movement inside, so I guess this flossing would be good for a preventative measure, but to actually fix your mightymouse ball there is no other way than to crack it open and clean off those little things yourself, which I have gotten used to doing quite effectively and routinely.

Download Tekken 5 on PS3, for PS3

Dec 7th 2006 3:34AM (Joystiq)
Sooner or later (more likely sooner, as in around the end of this console cycle-ish), all you "I prefer to own an actual game I purchased in physical form, to sit on my shelf" folks are going to be seen as retro gaming kooks, in the same class as audiophiles who cling on to their vinyl because they like the "feel" of it. Really, it makes no logical or practical sense in this day and age to have to leave my house and and go to a store to purchase an object which contains nothing but intangible media.

Joystiq asks: should Penny Arcade be in the webcomic poll?

Dec 7th 2006 1:47AM (Joystiq)
Gabes comment is such bs, thats the snooty Wii excuse, saying youre not part of the competition at all just because you do things a little bit different. And pretty much every webcomic now has a daily blog to acompany the comic strip anyway, thats nothing out of the norm at all!

But this isnt about politics or morals or any complicated mumbo jumbo like that, its a poll asking what the best webcomic of the week is, if PE happens to win, then its because it was the best comic of the week in the opinion of the majority, and if they happen to win a lot, then they must be pretty good at what they do, good for them. Thats it. The end! Go home everybody, please!

Kludge alert: PS3 memory card adapter

Nov 28th 2006 2:47PM (Joystiq)
Really, once you use this thing on all your memory cards you dont need it anymore, give it to a friend, or if you have no friend with a PS3, then just find anybody with a PS3 and hand it to them, there doesnt need to be more than one of these things in the enture country if we all work together!
