Sony: Home launch 'imminent,' will arrive this month in the US

Dec 9th 2008 10:30AM (Joystiq)
Well half of your list contains games that haven't even launched yet so those are gone. You can't judge a game by the hype. Haze anyone? So lets take those out and address the rest.

uncharted - Kind of boring but to each their own

MGS4 - Pretty good but only exciting if you played the rest

Little Big Planet - Cute but go go Moderation!!

Resistance 1 & 2 - The controls are so terrible, FPS belongs to the PC

Motorstorm 1 & 2 - Come on these were terrible. I love racing games and this put me to sleep

Warhawk - Pretty fun can't really argue that this is a good game

Ratchet and Clank series - B+ Platformer at best

Wipeout HD - this was fun the first 5-6 games kind of the same old stuff though

Hot Shots Golf - Really? There are many better golfing games to be bored to.

psn -SuperStardust HD - Casual games? Pop cap is for that.

psn-Pixel Junk Monsters - See above

Singstar - Yes and they have an Abba version to... Do you like games or hate yourself?

Buzz TV - Not bad fun with multiple people

The Eye Of Judgement - Weak card game, very very weak.

psn-Flow - see above

psn-Pixel Junk Eden - See above

psn-Everyday Shooter - Not exclusive and see above
Socom Confrontation - they fixed the online mostly and the game underneath the launch problems is awesome, next i heard we are getting a trophy patch (which should have been there since launch) - Not even going to comment here...... Really? Yay our game almost works and they may even give us Trophys!!! Let's face it the PS3 offering is weak.

My PS3 is for nothing but Blu-Ray playback these days. I might play around with Home for a bit but don't think I'll spend too much time there. If the PS3 would release some RPG's I would play it more. Of course if my Xbox didn't keep red ringing I would play it more too. Let's recap the current gen.

1. Xbox 360 - Great Games , if your system can live long enough to play them.

2. Wii - Great Games, if you are 5.

3. PS3 - Great Games, they are just available on every other console.

Please note I own each of the console and am disappointed in each of them equally :-P

'Friendship is Free' brings limited multiplayer to XBL Silver

Communication? how can you think communication is better on a console? Between IM, Live Meeting, Web cam, forums, blogs etc the PC is far better at communication. You are suffering from envy fanboyism. Your computer blows so you stick to the crutch that is your only console. I own an awesome PC, a 360, a PS3, and a Wii. In order of acctual game time it goes PC > 360 > Wii > PS3 the PS3 might get as much playtime as the 360 if it had any games but anything you can get there you can get on the 360 with the exception of 4-5 exclusives that aren't worth it. So if you aren't into FPS, RTS, MMO what are you into that makes you want to pay Microsoft $50 a year to play online? Hello Kitty?

Wow is this what the world looks like when you haven't had interaction with real people? You can't limit bad games to just the PC. There are tons of crap games made for all of the consoles. Just look at the family section on any console. Sure there are bad games on the PC but you know what? FPS is better on a PC, RTS is better an a PC, Western RPG is better on a PC. The console comes out ahead in JRPG, Platforming, sports, Fighting, and Racing the only one of which that is any good to play online is Racing. When you go to play online what do you want to play? FPS and RTS are going to be #1 and #2 on most anyone's list. Why would you play them on an inferior interface. So Lord Negatron grow up buy a good PC and then we can talk. My GTX 280 will run circles around a 360 and a PS3.

I am a silver member. I refuse to pay of Gold. Why should I pay to play online? I already paid for the game. This is why the PC is a far better gaming platform. Netflix being only available to gold members is crap too. I already pay for netflix so I have to pay Miorosoft too?

Zune 3.1 update out today - now featuring Sudoku!

That is the beauty of quicklist I can change my playlist at any moment to include the songs I want to listen to right then. Maybe I have been listening to Tenacious D a bit much lately and I just want to remove it and throw a bit of Seether in there? With standard playlist management I must run back to my computer, which may not be available at the time, or I can hit up my old pal QuickList and make the changes on the fly. Who wants to manage a playlist EVERY time they start up the Zune. I want incremental changes on the fly. I have 20gb of music on my Zune and I don't want to listen to all of it all of the time.

No sorry it isn't the same. All Now Playing does is make a list of the songs you have just listened to that gets wiped when the device powers down. Quicklist would let you go through your collection on the device and pick and choose songs for a playlist and save it on the device until you deleted it. It was fantastic for making playlists on the go, you can't do that any more and must go back to your pc to make new playlists.
