Apr 4th 2011 1:02PM (Autoblog)PC Gaming Alliance appoints Intel's Matt Ployhar as new president
Dec 14th 2010 6:05PM (Big Download)Tim Sweeney was correct when he said that Intel was ruining PC gaming (in 2008). The biggest reason why PC games currently aren't mopping their console counterparts (w/ 5+ year-old GPUs) is because most PC users don't have the GPU muscle to play anything. This leads to hardly any resources given to PC ports and PC-exclusives as the majority of the target market simply cannot run the game.

Sep 3rd 2010 10:05AM (Autoblog)Report: Next-gen boxer engine coming from Subaru this year
Sep 2nd 2010 9:51AM (Autoblog)I think Subaru is waiting for the price of diesel to decrease before bringing it over. 2 years ago, when there was a lot of interest in the boxer diesel, regular unleaded was over $4/gallon, while diesel was less than $3. Now diesel costs more than unleaded, and thus, the market isn't interested (look at VW's TDI sales figures over the past 3 years).
NHTSA: Eight percent of Americans admit to driving drunk in past year
Aug 26th 2010 12:51PM (Autoblog)Caffeine lowers reaction time as well- should I not drive after drinking coffee or a pepsi?
Age affects reaction time as well, so should we not drive after 60?
Seriously, I'm completely against drunk driving, but let's be rational. The NHTSA distorts drunk driving statistics. If a sober driver hits a pedestrian who has had a drink, that is counted as an alcohol-related accident. One drink isn't going to affect people- don't make casual drinkers (one or two beers) out to be as bad as those who get hammered and drive home.

Apple responds on iTunes fraud, vaguely confirms said fraud (update)
Jul 6th 2010 12:31PM (Engadget)Not necessarily anyone's fault but the scammers. However, Apple has prided itself on the closed app store and its strict approval process, yet despite this an obvious malicious developer has managed to infiltrate and affect hundreds (if not thousands) of itunes accounts.
Apple needs to reconsider its position, especially if they want to continue "our approval process is for your safety" rhetoric.
