Hmm, I wasn't all that fond of the first game and was likely going to pass this one up this time around but a feature like this needs to be rewarded with a purchase whether I actually play it or not!!

Y'know you guys are too hard on the Resident Evil movies. true they are not great films.. true they could have been something so much better.. but they have been among the most entertaining and faithful video game movies so far, that must count for something.
I'm still mind-blown that Nemesis looked exactly like Nemesis from RE3.. like, the didn't feel a need top change a thing? That right there is pretty astounding.

While I don't want DMC to just follow in the same footsteps as the RE movies I hope that we can expect an evolution of the process while still in keeping with all the fan service. I mean c'mon, Sienna Guillory actually studied the rigid animation from RE3 and moved like Jill did in the game.. if you marry that kind of dedication to decent scriptwriting, directing, and acting we might finally get the video game movie we all deserve. At least it doesn't feature Marky Mark, Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci as a family of criminal treasure hunters who mete out justice in the world of art antiquities or something or rather verbal discharge *sput* eww whatever.

Harmonix brainstorming 'reimaginings' of Rock Band, new motion games

@AZPuck98 There is actually a very large GH fanbase that didn't bother with RB because they don't keep up with gaming news and GH was the name in the genre that earned the most respect from non enthusiasts.

I think the biggest problem for RB3 is the lack of a band set and lack of instruments.. pretty hard to get people into your game when they can't even get the equipment to play it.

@Bastard11 damn no edit option.. "shouldn't" not "should matter."

@Jay Z Middleware like UE3 makes a lot of games possible. You can't always build a game from the ground up and some studios don't have the talent to do so. UE3 is starting to show it's age but the art is far more important in determining the look of a game.

Look at Gears of War 2.. great looking game by most people's standards.. doesn't look dated. Now look at Capcom's Dark Void.. hard to believe that wasn't made on technology from the Quake 3 engine era. In other words.. it looks like ass.

If the game designers do their job right the choice of middleware should matter or even be detectable to you. Uncharted could have been built off of UE3 if they really wanted and you'd never have known the difference.

Jade Raymond optimistic of new studios, IP development

@Mehbah I don't agree with you at all. While still not perfect Assassin's Creed II was LEAPS and BOUNDS better than the first. Even Brotherhood.. which I though was just gonna be this horrible "milking it" cash in was one of the best games released last year. It's a shame the series isn't clicking with you cuz it is among the best of what this industry has to offer anymore.

LA Noire offers a video 'Orientation'

@Landosystem It does.. it's just isn't as emphasized this time around.
For example, there are random crimes around the city you can choose to help out on or not. You might see a crime in progress or hear one over the radio. I'm hoping that having this random crime element carries all the way through the game.. so that you could even pull someone over and write them a ticket for speeding or having a tail light out if you wanted.
