Prince of Persia movie trailer looks ... kind of good

Nov 4th 2009 1:59PM (Joystiq)
Popcorn movie!

Live from Apple's 'It's only rock and roll' event

Sep 9th 2009 2:18PM (Engadget)
Good event, nice updates... - though this had a slightly "Plan B" feel to it. Me thinks that the big Beatles/iTunes announce was going to be the center stage of this (or a least one of the big reveals) and they couldn't get everything to align in time (thus the 9.9.09 date and Yoko mention from yesterday).

PSP Go to include voucher for Rock Band Unplugged demo [Update]

Aug 6th 2009 10:58AM (Joystiq)
Earth to Sony: At its current price, the PSP Go is DOA.

Never so often have I seen a company point the gun so squarely at their own foot.

Lack of PSPgo pre-orders bemoaned by UK retailers

Jun 28th 2009 11:03AM (Engadget)
At $250, the PSPgo is DOA. The PSP market itself is struggling and introducing new hardware at a similar price point is simply product suicide. I have a PSP that I use on occasion and this new version doesnt offer enough for me to consider a newer model.

If this PSP is to have any chance, it needs to be priced between $100-$150. If Sony can't produce them at that price, then they should postpone its launch indefinitely.

Engadget's recession antidote: win an insane grab bag of random stuff!

Jun 22nd 2009 5:03PM (Engadget)
I would love to win one Microsoft gaming pack - or any other kind of grab bag you're giving away. Once emptied, I promise to use the bag for my grocery shopping, saving thousands of plastic bags from garbage heaps for years on end.

Time Warner Cable creates $150 unlimited broadband tier

Apr 12th 2009 3:58PM (Joystiq)
Besides trying to offset their costs, TW's biz was built on the cable subscription service. I'm not sure what most of you experience, but a number of folks in my circle of friends are dropping their cable service in favor of cherry-picking their cable shows off of services like Hulu or in batch over NetFlix. With that, TW is seeing their high margins starting to slip and likely to collapse as more people look to the web for entertainment. This new pricing structure allows them to make up for these losses. And like others have mentioned, without immediate competition in the area they have one more way to keep the money coming in.

Sure, who needs 100+ channels of crap when I can go online and get the Daily Show the following day on the Comedy Central site...

Engadget's recession antidote: win a Kodak M820 digital photo frame!

Feb 10th 2009 3:36PM (Engadget)
I've held off on buying a digital frame for quite some time - winning one would be great!

Engadget's recession antidote: win an Ooma Scout and Hub with a free year of premier service!

Feb 4th 2009 2:38PM (Engadget)
The Ooma is one of those devices that I always wanted to buy, but never had enough disposable income for one. Perhaps once my cell plan expires.

Engadget's recession antidote: daily giveaways!

New games are always welcome--but particularly when good news is far and few.

G10IL, the Eee PC killer from ECS, is actually killer

Mar 6th 2008 1:10PM (Engadget)
The 900 is a good upgrade, but the keyboard is the same size. While I consider upgrading to this as well, if there's another option that includes a larger keyboard (the g10il looks to be *slightly* larger) and has a more aesthetically pleasing, they'll get my dollars.
