Demo? Gimmee!!

I am on my sixth Xbox. Every one of them has RRoD. (And before anyone says anything, my console and its power supply has always been in a very open, cool area, free of dust.) Of the people I game with, about 1/3 have experienced the RRoD - some several times. So I'm pretty skeptical about the 10 or 16%. Even then, it's too high. Why can't they figure it out?

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but any game that ties 100% completion to putting more money in the developer's wallet is total and absolute horse manure.

I just got my refund check yesterday. A friend got his today. I'm on my third Xbox. They've been pretty good about turn around each time, but why should I have to have gone through three Xboxes to get one that works?

They do take safety first - there's plenty of run-off and the dangerous areas are protected. The Stig wears a full helmet and a safety suit. This segment of the show features cars being pushed to their limits. Of course there will be offs. Is it dangerous? Hell no!

Well, I was playing TDU. But a corrupt save put an end to that one. And I didn't want to start over (at 83% completion before the corrupt save).

So I was going to download some old school Doom, but my 360 also did the 3 red light thing, so I guess the answer to the question is: tonight I'm playing Candy Land.

If you look at the web site, it looks like a staged "reality" show. Plus, read some of the comments in the forum. They look like they were posted by 40 year old marketing guys, trying to sound cool. Ugh. I'll pass.

No problems except Oblivion, NFS:MW & Dead Rising - where it seizes up *a lot* and once in a while on other games. Mostly DREs. Sent my 360 off for a looksee this week.

My most recent conversation with my BMW dealer was about the extended X5 with 3rd row seating and hints of an X7, with more luxury appointments.

Not to mention the fact that the Connect store only works with Windows. Expect all sorts of nasty DRM to be built into this thing.

Shame. Seems like a wonderful device.
