Tak's power of the Juju lands him on TV

Aug 11th 2007 7:24PM (Joystiq)
The game and the show were concieved at the same time, it just took a while for the show to get made. The same guy who wrote all the dialogue for the game, Randolph Heard, is also the writer on the show.

I believe the first Tak game was actually a million-copy seller.

"couldn't of been good anyways"

It's not "couldn't of", it's "couldn't have". Although some people say it so fast you could write it as could'nt've.

I doubt you have to jerk the remote to fire the weapon. The remote is probably for aiming, and a button press to fire.

Cave Story music inspired by ... polka?

Yeah, I read the whole story. It's clearly a stolen melody. Six notes or not, it's still copyright infringement on Nintendo's part. Copyright law doesn't specify a particular number of notes that you're allowed to steal.

Add to that the fact that fans have identified the melodies from other older jazz fusion bands in various mario themes, and it's clear the the composer for the mario games borrowed pretty liberally from other people's musical works.

Cave Story music inspired by ... polka?

Nintendo stole from much more recent sources than Mozart for their Super Mario Bros. themes:

At the time they did it, I guess there wasn't much enforcement of music copyrights when it came to video games, so they seem to have gotten away with it.

Polka music is awesome. The accordian was the electric guitar of it's time, and polka was it's rock & roll.

The super-macho games of the 360 have their place. And micosoft is right, they're especially appealing to 14-year-olds.

Well, without an announcement from microsoft saying "we know what the problem was and we fixed it" it will be hard for the consumer to trust that the problems have indeed been fixed.

I'd love to get a 360, but can't see myself doing it when the thing breaks so easy. I don't want to just take $400 and flush it down the toilet.

Luckily the Wii's future line-up is looking better and better.
